According to DRad in the latest "The Good Word", Mega-Tron-Jacket is the name they have given the scoreboard.

I think he meant the jumbotron has been dubbed the Mega-Jacket-Tron by the athletic association. Such things aren't uncommon. The Texas one is called the Gadzillatron.

The whole "mega --- tron" reference and the cars makes me think it is also somewhat promoting Transformers the movie.

I agree--last year's darker gold provided a better contrast with the white than did the 'vegas' gold of the chan days. But it's hard to tell how much lighter these uniforms will be based on one video.
 
There have been reports that they were tweaking the shade of gold this year, more inline with the rest of the AA, so it probably is a little different.
 
That gold color is definitely different. The team wore last year's uniforms in practice on Friday. Teams don't practice in game day garb.

i feel that it's definitely a bonus to be in Russell's pocket or have them in ours(depending on how you look at it)...because we're allowed to make changes and do uniform experimentation's as we please.

just a small bonus or luxury that a lot of teams don't have.

Well it is a strength and conditioning poster, so probably to best show off the results of strength and conditioning...

There aren't better ways of doing so? I mean I guess GT's is better in a sense UGAg's. I don't see the benefit of oiling them up like they did.

They've always bothered me too. You don't see the women's tennis team posing together in bikinis.

Wait a minute, I just had a great promotional idea....
 
Seems a little weird to me. Why not just where those Under Armour type shirts.
