saw a Georgia state trooper escort for 4 full size travel buses with GT logos with the football team in them drive by me off of Johnson Ferry in east Cobb while I was walking my dog. They were traveling in direction of ?Pope HS? Anyone know the deal? Had my GT shirt on and gave them an air first pump as they flew by

Damn! I live two or so miles from Pope, drive past it to and from work. Wish I knew. Had an inkling that’s where they were going but had kids swim lessons shortly after the buses went by so didn’t have time to go scope it out which my wife suggested I do.

Got a MTrain '87 nephew with 2 kids at Pope..... wonder if he knew about this...... hmmmm.

I'm sure they wanted to scrimmage and keep it very private. Probably mum was the word on this one

Georgia Tech football held its first intrasquad scrimmage of the 2019 season on Saturday at Pope H.S. in Marietta.

Head coach Geoff Collins and his staff aimed to mimic a road game with Saturday’s scrimmage, from traveling to a hotel on Friday night to arriving at an unfamiliar venue and going through a typical pregame routine on Saturday.

I wish we had some more information from the scrimmage. There is a short write up on the athletics site, other than that, there was no coverage apparently.

There was no coverage because it was a closed scrimmage. CGC only let the athletics site report the info he gave them.

No, I get it. I just wish we had a little more info. I'm curious who is banged up, what does our health look like at the moment? I know Kenny Cooper has missed time. What else do we know?
