GT Marketing at Work - Livingsocial Ticket Deal for VT Game

It's a good idea. Hope it helps to sell out the game, but only 33 purchased so far. Dunno if this will have much of an impact. Hopefully there will be a little more hype after we win big on Saturday that will help drive people to this game. Will have to keep an eye on this deal.

Thanks for the link SMoney.

NEED SOME QUICK ADVICE FROM THOSE WHO KNOW THE STADIUM....

I was already planning on coming down from Charlotte to the VT game and need to buy 7 tickets. I don't want end zone tix, and it looks like the living social deal is offering tickets in 223U or 227U.

Looking at 3 options:

Option A:
223U, Row 19, Seats 1-7 ($221 thru Living Social Deal)

Option B:
224L, Row 15 Seats 33-39 ($462 direct thru TechTix)

Option C:
204U, Row 18 Seats 1-7 ($462 direct thru TechTix)

Is there much of a difference in height/viewing between a (high row number in the LOWER section) vs. (low row number in the UPPER section)? Not sure how big the stadium transition gap is between lower and upper sections.

I would like to be on the Tech sideline, but it appears the "deal" tickets are on the VPI sideline (not too big a deal).

Also seems like a seat 39 in section 224 is not much different than a seat 1 in section 223.

As additional info, the 7 tickets are for my parents, the wife, and our 3 girls 11 and under... (So , yea, I am going to be hearing... I gotta piss, I am cold... etc...) Teaching them to man up, but it takes some time.. the one thing they know is "To Hell with Georgia" each and every day.

Thanks for any input.

I prefer option B, but am tempted by the value of option A. Pro/cons

A: PRO: Value CON: Seats will be very high. Closer to the end zone than mid-field
B: PRO: Best viewing CON: None. Some people complain about sun in East stands, but this is a night game
C: PRO: Good viewing CON: Not worth paying double for similar sight lines as option A.

Being on the east side is actually plus for a night game. Much closer and lower to the field. The uppper rows on the east side are about the same height as the lower rows on the west side. Considering going through tech is twice as much, option A is an easy choice.

That is awesome. Thank you for posting. I'll be there now.

Right now, there are 67 packages sold....at least two tickets each. With six more days, hope they sell 500 packages and get those butts in the seats for the Thursday night game! GO JACKETS!

If anybody only needs one (or any other odd number) I might be interested your extra ticket.

I wish we didn't have to do this for a big Thursday night game against a division rival on "100th anniversary of Grant Field" night, but given that things are what they are, it's cool that we're doing this.

That said, I hope we don't screw ourselves and look terrible against VPI on Thursday night again, like the time we had that Big Boi show.

I used this. It was an awesome deal. Got two tickets in 223U, two "cokes" and two hot dogs for only $64

All - Thanks for the input.... I went with Option "A" from my original post. Did not realize the difference in height between the East and West stands.

Actually purchased 11 tickets so I have 3 links I could give you guys for purchasing tickets.

Buy through Pantone's link first (he only needs 3), but once that is used, I will give $5 via paypal email to all those that use my links.

 When you are ready to purchase, PM me and I will send you the link and after your purchase confirms in my account, I'll paypal you the $5 (it only takes a few seconds to show up in my account).

Guess I'm pimpin a bit to fill the seats with white and gold and not those god-awful maroon/orange turkey color combinations for VPI.

Thanks again to those who provided feedback.
