GT @ ND Possible Gameday

The game is one of four between teams that were ranked in the preseason top 25. (The first week’s poll is due out later Tuesday.) The others are No. 6 Auburn at No. 14 LSU, No. 21 Stanford at No. 8 USC and No. 17 Ole Miss at No. 3 Alabama. Stanford, though, is due to drop out after its loss to Northwestern Saturday. Two other possibilities are South Carolina at No. 9 Georgia and BYU at No. 13 UCLA.

They need to do this so we can fly the stingtalk trolljacket flag on espn.

I'm sure there'd be 50 "Rudy was offsides" signs.

Kinda don't want them there, because that almost kills the chances they come to ATL for GT-FSU.

Didn't think about the Rudy thing. Man, ESPN could really run with this thing. Seems like this matchup could become most enticing to them.

These week two match-ups will probably have a bearing:
LSU vs. Mississippi State
ND vs. UVA
Mississippi vs. Fresno State

Ours is the most unique game of the ones being considered. The others are just standard conference games between teams with arbitrarily high preseason rankings.

BYU at USLA is one I hadn't thought about. BYU's week one hail mary, UCLA's stud freshman QB gives them a couple of story lines as well.

Doubtful that ESPN would hype a game airing on NBC.
I'd be surprised if Gameday is in Southbend.

Unless one of the teams craters, they would probably pick up ND at Clemson on 10/3 over our game.

Would rather have GT/FSU. Gameday at a visitor stadium is meaningless.

Trollbuzz should be a fixture behind the goalposts on fg/xp attempts. Whoever is in possession of the thing should find a student to make this happen. Apparently I am too irresponsible to keep track of the thing for 4 quarters as I lost it at the first game I had the thing. 'Hi, my name is Corndog and I have a drinking problem.'

They had gameday at GT in '06 when ND came to town. I don't see why they wouldn't do it again.

The possible key difference being since the game was played away from ND that NBC did not own the rights and it was on ABC.

Notre Dame hosted it 8 times, last two in 2005 and 2012. Stop bsing with the NBC thing.
