'College Football Live' right now on ESPN just gave a lead in to their next segment:

"Could Georgia Tech be showing us all the way to the future of college football."

I assume they're talking about the offense that Paul Johnson runs, which is neither new, nor unique. He just happens to be very very good at it. But hey, don't let something like intelligent, informed analysis ruin an ESPN story.

As an update, Bob Davie kept talking about how successful GT has been running the wishbone/triple option. He continued to call it the wishbone; but none the less gave lots of kudos to GT, Paul Johnson, and Dan R. Davie said you have to give lots of credit to an AD who had the guts to go and hire a coach who uses this system. Davie went on to highlight that Johnson's offense put up over 400 yards of rushing offense on both Miami and UGA, two teams that have as much talent as anyone on the defensive side of the ball. Talked about how exciting this offense was to watch.

Aside from all the wishbone talk, a very positive report on GT all the way around.

Wow...it's great how much positive press Tech's getting as a result of CPJ's leadership/results.

Bob Davie has always been a big fan of the triple option. He says it's a nightmare to defend when executed well.

True, and I believe that I have either read somewhere or heard Davie say that if he got another coaching job that he would run this offense.
