I don't know, but I've always suspected that in order to get da Fridge to come back to Tech, O'leary promised to emphasise offense in recruiting, at least for the 1st coupla years. I think the past year or so the talent level has been close between the O and D, but 3-4 years ago the O was way ahead.

GT Ace is not an airhead like one guy we all know
and most times I generally agree with Ace but to place Ted on a pedestal with Ralph is a little over the edge in my opinion. Ted was a great player and a solid Tech man and in my estimation
he was a fine LB coach but I feel he was in over
his head as the DC. Ted was also a terrific recruiter as well as a fine man but I feel Chan
made the right decidion in bringing an experienced
DC with a great track record in.. I think Ace might have been yanking our chain to stir up the pot and he certainly succeeded. I feel good about the direction of our athletic programs. I'm really
looking forward to "toe meets leather". Lets get the show on the road.
