I went to the bookstore today and I saw a ton of under armour GT apparel. Is this new?

Nah, it's not new. UA has always had stuff at B&N.

Nike, Under Armour, Russell, Gear, Reebok, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Cutter & Buck, etc. have all been selling GT apparel for many years now.

I was down at the bookstore in January and they were just putting out the UA apparel.

All they were putting out was the grey shirts. I would've bought a gold one.

They must have sold quick...because I have all three. Matter of fact, my son has two of the navy ones now because he outgrew the first one quickly because I bought a size too small.

They've been selling the under armor stuff in there for a few years. It's too pricey to me. I can't rationalize spending $50 for a stretchy shirt with an iron on gt logo.

This is why we have a lack of decent merchandise. We just don't have enough fans that will buy the stuff that the companies make.

I bought one of the nice polos for $40. It wasn't worth it when I can get a navy one for half that. It's nice...but not $40 nice. Oh well...I really needed a gold one for work and the bookstore is the only place to find the gold ones.

Agreed. People need to realize a few things.

1) Merchandising and whats available and how available is DIRECTLY correlated to fans purchasing of it. Not the other way around (ie if you merchandise more it doesn't mean more fans buy it). The second our fans step up and buy more than normal, creating more demand the companies will respond.

2) this is the same case with our fans and season tickets. The second our fans buy all the season tickets, we won't need to complain about UGA fans and other visitor fans taking over the stadium. GTAA is in it for money, I heard the head of ticket sales say word for word to me "I just want to sell seats, if our fans don't buy them, then we will do flexpacks so someone can"

Point. Blame our/yourselves, not GTAA, not GT merchandising, not Under Armour or Russell. It all starts with the fanbase. PERIOD.

CRC workers just started getting under armour shirts. Also, were there under-armour hoodies and other stuff before?

I got a kick out of the Under Armor commercial w/ Maryland and Friedgen in it. It was entertainingly pathetic.

Can't see CPJ doing an under armour commercial..."We must protect this house!"

Yeah, Barnes and Noble's has had under-armor stuff for a few years now. Everything there is overpriced. I've been to Auburn a couple of times and their on campus stores have way cheaper stuff. They had like $5 orange Auburn t-shirt to help make their entire stadium orange.

we tried to do that for $10, but the GTAA didn't support us like I had hoped.

I always wondered why we didn't sell cheap yellow/gold T-shirts for $5 outside the stadium. If you want to make the stadium <insert color>, provide said color.

I would buy 2-3 $5 T-shirts over the course of a season. I would buy my nephews a shirt on the way into the stadium for the 3-4 games they catch. That's an easy way to get the desired effect.

Since we are wearing white tops for home games again, expect our dumb ass fans to try to match the team instead of wearing Gold.
