GT - under armour contract?

I always wondered why we didn't sell cheap yellow/gold T-shirts for $5 outside the stadium. If you want to make the stadium <insert color>, provide said color.

I would buy 2-3 $5 T-shirts over the course of a season. I would buy my nephews a shirt on the way into the stadium for the 3-4 games they catch. That's an easy way to get the desired effect.

Since we are wearing white tops for home games again, expect our dumb ass fans to try to match the team instead of wearing Gold.

well, to me if the whole stadium was white it would be better than what I see today.

FYI the shirts we were going to do...were white. I makes more sense if you think about it logistically (easier to match even if you don't buy the shirt)

It also means that half the stadium won't wear them, because they know our color is gold. For reference, see the Hawks game when they gave out...white playoff t-shirts. It was about 60% white, the casual fans who didn't really know any better or whatever, and the rest...actual Hawks colors.

I know it's "the white and gold", but the color associated with Tech and the color the fans are supposed to wear has been, and always will be, gold. It even says it right in the stadium: "Wear your gold next time!"

I think the GTAA should hand out 50,000 gold ponchos for the Miami game. Those probably cost about 20 cents each. It is a Thursday night game, so getting hot shouldn't be a problem. Then we would have a shot at a Penn State type white-out for a nationally televised game.

Yeah, but unfortunately gold almost always ends up being yellow...blah!

Or your gold is not the same as my gold, etc. Much easier to get everyone to wear black, white, navy, etc--as they are pretty much uniform in color. One company's gold color though can be different than another person's gold. (Of course, I am not speaking from experience, but hearsay. I am completely colorblind, so all golds pretty much look alike to me.)

I'll take various shades of yellow and gold over various shades of the pastel rainbow.

Earth to Tech fans: White is an official color of our sports teams. Old gold and white, and navy to be used as a third color... you heard it here first

I think the easiest path to go would be to shoot for a "Navy night" for the miami game or something. Pretty much everyone can find some navy either in their wardrobe, or very easily somewhere, plus it gives us a chance to flaunt the navy unis, which would satisfy those of us who were gung ho about wearing the color before the actual color scheme was announced.

Earth to BuzzCzar: we all know that. Black is an official U[sic]GA color, they don't have any problem wearing red. Purple is an official Clemson color, they don't seem to have any problem wearing orange(okay, bad example...seriously, purple?) Our coaches wear gold, our swarm shirts are gold, the Wreck is painted gold, our stadium says "Wear your Gold next time!", our team name contains the word "yellow"...you can say white is an official color and that is true, but telling the fans to wear white makes no sense.

plus its a plug for the Navy, and for CPJs last coaching stop, Navy

I wouldn't mind so much if the stadium was filled with nothing but white or gold/yellow. The problem is the other 400 colors people wear to the games. It would be super awesome if we could get one whole side of the stadium wearing white, and the other wearing gold, but it would also be super awesome if I won the powerball, and I'm not betting on that ever happening.
