It "don't" matter much to me but I just saw Chan introduced at some charity function telecast by CSS and he intro'd himself as "Chan Gailey, Georgia TECH University." What gives?

Give him some time, mate. FWIW, Bobby Ross came in and said the same things for quite some time until he finally got it right. Ross won 1 game in his first 2 seasons over a Div. 1-A opponent (remember that shutout over top 10 South Carolina at home in '88?). I had never heard the West Stands boo until Wake Forest slapped us around on a very cold November day in 1987 I think it was. But, just 36 months later Ross went on to lead Tech to a national title. I guess what I'm saying is if Chan wins, keeps us out of trouble with the NCAA, and represents the "university" (pun intended) well he can call us whatever he wants.

Seriously, I wish he'd refer to us as the North Avenue Trade School like Pepper used to do on TV interviews every now and then. Or he could just take a cue from Lenny Postostes of Leonards Losers fame and call us "The Insects from the Institute"

See, even an ol' Dawg like Lenny knows we are an "Institute".
