GT vs Clemson - Betting Odds

Golden Nugget has just released the betting odds of the GT vs Clemson football game. The Nugget has Clemson as a whopping 18 point favorite. What say ye about this spread ? I am shocked to be honest.
 
@Clemson, the defending national champs. A big line, but they've beaten us by more than that over the past few years. Their defense should still be dominant...the offense is breaking in new pieces at key positions. Hard to know how good the teams are since we only have the spring to go on.

I would say taking Tech seems logical with such a big number, but I don't like to bet on Tech at all because I have too much heart in it to be objective.
 
Remember what happened last time they had to play us without Watson for 60 minutes?
 
I wouldn't touch any line on Clemson/Tech unless it moved a lot more than that.

It would be tough to predict a stand out performance against Clemson these days - their DC seems to have our number. Our best chance is if they take a big dip on offense this year.

Their DC seems to have the numbers of a bunch of 300+ lb guys who will all be in the NFL 3 years from now.

The "special" thing about Clemson is they've been recruiting up to their potential for several years now. I feel way more confident about beating Ugag than hanging with Clemson.

Clemson had a good run last year and had some luck on their side. Hell, they almost lost to Troy and NC State. They did lose to Pitt. The FSU and VT games were close. There is nothing special about Clemson so get that shit out of your mind
 
The spread s what they think the public thinks to get the money even. I could see Joe Schmoe from Pennsylvania or Utah or wherever thinking that. We can either start off well and be "in the game" or get blown out before we know what hit us.
