GT vs. Clemson: Game time chat

Something else that kind of drove me nuts that's been bothering me for a while is that it seems like whenever JD gets the ball, he's already on his way to the ground and he's just waiting on someone to pop him and finish it off.

There's soo much penetration between the guards, their DT's can practically take the mesh from JN. Their tackling JD before he even receives the ball.

It seems like the players are taught to explode forward immediately at the snap. There is nothing wrong with this, but it's as if the Defense is taking this aggressive approach and using it against us. Defenders just seem to be able to twist, lean, or get low and make the blocker miss leaving nothing between them and Dwyer. This allows LBs to crash towards the outside run of the option, blowing up the play. The O-Lineman just seem to be having a hard time squaring up on D-Lineman to form a crease for Dwyer. We just seem to have a style conflict between what we have and what we need. The problem with this is that we may be forced to try and drive a square peg into a round hole for years as we build up the O-Line CPJ likes through years of recruiting. Hopefully, the square pegs can sand down their sides, but for now it just isn't quite working.

Uh... haha. That Willy guy is really... silly. ESPN is reporting that Willy's MRI showed a bruised shoulder. I'm not a doctor but my diagnosis would be that it's really a bruised ego but they couldn't use that as a medical reason to put his butt back on the bench.

ESPN said:
"It felt like he locked his arm in my arm and my body went forward and my shoulder went backwards," Korn said. "I had a really good look to Aaron Kelly on that play. For what it's worth, I think it would've been a touchdown."
