Gus Malzahn

I can confirm that Gus Malzahn to GT is my preference. Twitter source to follow.

He only had 2 good seasons in 6 years. Didn't you want CPJ fired for pretty similar results? If he wins 7-8 games most years with Auburn players, what do you think is gonna happen at GT?

If any GT coach gets Auburn's talent, we'll win the ACC Coastal every single year.

I still don't see how that backs up the notion that a grad assistant was the one behind Malzahn's success. Not sure if I'm getting trolled...

Are you suggesting Malzahn for the next coach? Because you're developing this habit with Malzahn and Whisenhunt where you attribute their successful years 100% to them and their bad years to 100% not their fault.

I honestly think it would be a great hire, but it won't happen. If he wanted to leave Auburn, he would've gone to Arkansas last year and his stock would've been at its highest. But he didn't and I just can't see him coming here.
I think it would be a great hire also but, his buyout is humongous

Bama, LSU, Miss St, TAMU, Ole Miss, Arky
vs
Clemson, VPISU, Miami, Duke, Pitt, UNC, UVA

I don't want him, but all 7-8 wins are not created equally.

You forgot UGA on our list.

In fact, when you include both UGA and Clemson, and you give Auburn one additional free win per year against a patsy, I think we have a reasonable case that our schedule is regularly tougher than theirs.

I didn't forget anything. I left them off because we both play UGA every year.

Our schedule isn't tougher than theres. That is comical.

Ask Auburn fans about Gus!!
My broker is an Auburn grad and said he who give $50,000 to the AUAA if Gus is fired,

Gus would be a great hire if Auburn would throw in their bagman.

Yearly Strength of Schedule Rankings:
2013:
Auburn - 3
GT - 35

2014:
Auburn - 1
GT - 26

2015:
Auburn - 15
GT - 23

2016:
Auburn - 7
GT - 35

2017:
Auburn - 1
GT - 28

Auburn may have had the toughest strength of schedule in CFB during his tenure at Auburn. Ours was probably one of the toughest in the country outside the SEC West, but there is definitely a difference.

I still stand by my point, though. Auburn's average recruiting class ranking was 9.25 with regard to the current players. Auburn has top 10 talent but doesn't put up top 10 results. IMO I don't see how we can go for somebody who doesn't consistently outperform with respect to their talent.

I'd take Gus M in a heartbeat. Let him bring Lashlee with him. But it would be a step down for him.

Taking a step down is often welcome when your ass is on fire.

If Auburn is willing to pay him to be our head coach (Im not joking here, this is effectively very possible) I would be on board the gus experiment real quick.

Ugh. Al Groh flashbacks.
