Guys I'm rooting for this year

1. Pnope - he has struggled the past few seasons, time for him to have a break out season with a revamped OL and shed the label
2. Thacker - has the pieces now to show what the D will be going forward

Was going to post this. These guys need to prove they're P5-caliber coordinators this year.

Patenaude needs to maximize Sims' dual-threat ability and Gibbs' versatility. So long as the OL can stay reasonably healthy, there's no reason why we shouldn't see very strong offensive production this year.

I‘d have to say the defense in general. They were such a disappointment last year (injuries/COVID) and I’d like to see them get some redemption. I’m surprisingly not worried about the offense scoring points. But if the defense can be disruptive, not have stupid or untimely penalties and get a TO or two a game, we’re going to put up more wins than most people expect.

The OL. I think we finally have the bodies in place so we should be primed for improvement. Good OL play will help Sims and Gibbs do what they need to do.

Not defending Patenaude because he definitely needs to show me more, but IMO, this is the season you start to judge him, not the last 2. OL has been pretty bad for 2 years and QB's have been running for their lives. OL is just now getting where we want them, capable of making correct blocking assignment calls at the line. Sims, backs, and receivers now also all have a better understanding of the offense. CDP said that this is the first season since he's been here that the playbook is fully installed.

1. Antonneous Clayton: I hope he finally has a breakout year, has been a really tough path for him. Hard not to like the guy.

2. Marquez Edward: very promising prospect out of high school, showed flashes last year but has not been talked a lot about in the preseason.

Unfortunately, doesn't look like either of these two impressed at fall camp unless they were out and I missed it.

Ezzard didn't make ATL for Saturday. And Suguira lists Ivey and Domineck as likely starters at DE.

Not that surprising. Neither stood out last year either.

Dominick is our one established pass rusher and Ivey/Kennard both looked more athletic and disruptive than the older DEs when they got their shot to play in the last two games last year.
