GW game

How is my mute supposed to work when you keep quoting him?

Actually, you know what? I didn't wear gold to the GW game. That was the first game this year I didn't wear gold to. SWMBO got mascara all over my yellow shirt on the way to the game.

Well this should have been enough to convince you that not wearing gold to the game is a bad idea :).
 
I think even with Nesbitt or Shaw we only win 17-7 or so based on how the O-line played. I'l give the mobile quarterback an extra touchdown. But the line play wasn't good.

Give Gardner-Webb credit. Here rolls in a 1-AA team from Boiling Spring, NC. Just expected to come in, get beat up, get their paycheck, and leave. But they fought hard and had a chance to win at the end.

Poor performance by Tech overall, save the repeated defensive stands, but that effort really makes me now want to pay attention to GW and pull for them. Hats off to those guys.
 
I think what the O-line was saying about the GW d-line diving at their legs may have a lot to do with it. My local HS team had a coach a few years back that ran the wishbone. True, not the T.O. but a similar offense in being run oriented. They went 8-2 his first year, but, with comparable talent his second year, they went 5-5. The opposing HS coaches starting doing the same thing GW did-- just started diving at our OL's legs and clogging everything up at the line of scrimmage.

Really, the whole game was my fault. This was the only game I didn't wear jeans to. I also lent my specified "away game shirt" to a friend.
 
I firmly believe me wearing my "Rudy Was Offsides" shirt to the party where I watched the VT game caused the helmet to helmet call, because I bought the shirt the day of our home game vs ND.
