Both. Still no idea why we revisited that look. It looks good on a jersey in a non-game situation but that's often where they get worn, to my understanding.

Someone else may remember better than me, but wasn't the late 90's - early 00's period of gold numerals the result of that one douchebag donor who hated any inclusion of blue in our colors, uniforms, etc?

IIRC we dropped blue from the numerals for 1998 and it became pretty scarce anywhere else on the uni. That lasted until 2003, though it was another three years before we saw the navy shirts again.
