They also should rate the recruiting classes 2 years after the kids have been on campus. That would give a much more accurate rating. I'll take a 3 star with a great attitude and work ethic over a 5 star primadonna any day of the week.

That's exactly it. Whiskey acts like his player would have never been noticed without the camp. If he is NFL caliber, he would be found even at Elon. Obviously, he wasn't a 5 star in high school, which leaves a different path. Either coaches have a relationship with college coaches and can make a trusted recommendation or you go the smaller school route. If the player has the skill and determination, the result will be the same.
