Has anyone ever been banned from a Georgia fans house?

Nice thing about livin in Tennessee is that mutt fans are few and far between.

There's several UGA grads on here. Let me put it this way - my brother-in-law is a UGA fan and hates everything about Florida. He won't even let his kids wear orange and blue. He said if his son got a full ride to FLA, he'd go to every game - he'd still wear his red/black, but he'd be there.

Tech doesn't offer some of the degrees UGA does so some are left with no choice.

Georgia State, Emory University, Georgia College, Georgia Southern, Oglethorpe University, Auburn, Florida, etc. etc.

Just sayin', there's always a choice

So basically, you couldn't handle your booze, got drunk and made an arse of yourself because of your hatred for UGA.

If y'all would just keep your mouth shut at parties when you are serving me my drinks and food everything would be fine. :D

You have got to be absolutely kidding with this comeback remark. My oldest daughter graduated from UGA and was in the band. My wife and I supported our daughter for three years by purchasing season tickets to go see her at the games. I have seen first hand the drunken behavior of the UGA fans in Athens. I personally saw a drunk 61 year old UGA fan fall out of the door of his RV and do a chop-job on his face because of booze. His wife literally made him go around and apologize to all the RV club members the next day because of his obnoxious drunken behavior. Trust me, the booze flowed freely with the RV club members bringing in huge stashes of coolers filled with just about every kind of alcohol you might want. Some even left their coolers unguarded during the games and the UGA students would come through and steal their stash.

We also saw first-hand how your Frat rows are simply one big weekend cocktail party during the game weekends. Self-righteous UGA fans that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

All right I was in Athens last Friday with some other couples. Got way too drunk and supposedly, according from my wife's account, was walking down Washington yelling, "THWG!!!!!". Don't remember much, but may have embarrased most UGA friends that I was with. Now that the dust has settled I don't really care. Not really someone's house, but the result is just the same. Is it bad to feel just a bit of pride from it?

I don't understand your problem with my comment. He said he officially got banned from a UGA fan's house by because he got drunk and started bashing UGA football.

I was clarifying his statement and pointing out that it was his probably less about GT/UGA and more about his behavior. Never did I say this behavior is exhibited by GT fans and not UGA fans. Besides, it's an individual issue in my opinion; not a GT fan / UGA fan issue.

I have seen many UGA, GT, UF, AU, Bama, UT, SC, etc. fans exhibit similar behavior as well. All I'm saying is when you exhibit that type of behavior, don't be surprised with the consequences (and I don't think he is).

I wasn't proclaiming it a GT thing.

Thanks for the clarification. GT isn't perfect but they are mild compared to some of the things I have seen at some of the SEC schools when the liquor flows freely. I think the worst behavior I have ever seen was an LSU game I attended in LA with wife and friends. The LSU fans were literally turning over the Porta-Potties - with opposing fans in them at the time. Gives new meaning to being knee-deep in crap.

See I knew I couldn't get through the day without a smartarse nad licker talking.

Just got back from Kroger for weekly shopping go up to pay and smartarse punk says he can't help me because of my Tech shirt, I asked for him to call the mananger who I know. Next thing the kid is about to cry.

Again if the majority would just shut your trap we would have a nicer place to live in.

Actually, while my behavior was not acceptable...I was fairly quiet until the Georgia fans "who were drunk as well" kept going on and on and directing it all towards me. My friend that took me home said that they were saying things and acting just as bad as I was, and they did not get kicked out. He said the guy's wife kicked me out because I was the GT fan. Since posting this, the guy has said that I am allowed back at his house and that it was not right for me to be told to leave when others were acting the same way I was.

Sports Business major at uGA

Watch all GT sports.
Wear GT on campus.
My room is all GT.
Car has GT stickers on it.
Pay for inside GT info (rivals & scout)

COULDN'T get into GT.

anybody got problems?

A good friend and neighbor, who happens to be the head football coach at a high school at which we have recruited 2 players (neither went to GT) in the past 2 years, has a red and black room in his house as a shrine to UGAg. He even paid several hundred dollars to a local artist to come in and paint UGAg murals all over the walls of this room. There is signed UGAg memorabilia all over the place. He's a great dude, but he's a hardcore nad licker fan. This is the type of uphill battle we face with a lot of these high school coaches.

I'm impressed!

Clearly you are a man of great moral fiber! You should be commended on your high IQ and rock solid judgement.

You remind me of Winston Churchill fighting against the pacifist in House of Commons in 1938. He was outnumbered something like 100 to 1 but he would never buckle to Hitler!

i stay true to my colors through thick and thin.
I just cant EVER be a UGA fan....they are the most delusional fanbase ever!!

here is the most recent quote from a friend i saw on campus that i havent seen in years...(he didnt know im a GT fan)

Friend- "when are you graduating?"
me- "spring 09'"
friend- "yeah, im graduating after summer session. Atleast you'll get to see the national championship"
Me- "hahahah, are you serious?"
friend- "you dont think so? our schedule is so weak next year." (god o'mighty he doesnt know anything, typical)
me- "not a chance in hell"

Add me to the list of those who attended UGA, but have supported Tech all their life. I was a DRAMA major back in '83-84 (yeah Tech offers THAT one don't they?). Now I'm in radio which is acting with a regular paycheck.

I attended the 84 game sitting IN the UGA student section wearing Tech colors and waving my GT pennant (which I still have). I was nearly killed, but it was a triumphant day 'tween the hedges. GO JACKETS!!
