In order to instill humility in his players, Coach Randy Shannon has them re-enact their performance against the Yellow Jackets from last season.
 
After an embarrassing loss to Georgia Tech last year, Coach Randy Shannon has scrapped his "tackle high" gameplan and has installed a new "tackle really, really low" regimen for his over-rated and under-producing defense. When asked for comment Coach Shannon had this to say: "Well, we tried to tackle high last year and got our ass stomped. I figure we gotta try something different so what the heck. Our defense will tackle low, with the exception of Sean Spence who will continue to tackle the quarterback's hand warmer, of course."
 
"Canes players won't choke this year, practice disabling gag reflex; Coach Shannon promises they will play with white hot fire in their bellies."
 
Since last years performance in Atlanta was hard to swallow, the 2009 Hurricanes prepare to handle the load.
