Have you ever seen a bigger group

Why would Strong leave Louisville? He's AT an SEC program right now and it is positioned doggy-style behind the ACC. Lowest acceptance standards in the NCAA? Check. Enormous athletic budget? Check. Southeastern recruiting footprint? Check. Weak in-state OOC 'rival'? Check. Primetime TV opportunities? Check. Who does their uniforms?

Seriously, they've got everything they need to start pulling in highly ranked recruiting classes every year and a decently sized fanbase that will surely grow. The smart thing to do would be to stay and collect payraise after contract extension after pay raise.

I'm going with the stereotype of college coaches being egomaniacs. At some point, he may want to prove he can win against the big boys.
 
Always have enjoyed watching the less disciplined, mouthy, showboaters getting their butts handed to them. Muschamp is a bust. Should've started HCing at a smaller program like La Tech or Arky St.

As an aside, Charlie Strong could literally kill the big boys with his bare hands. Did you see the expressions on his players faces when they were getting ready to hit him with the gatorade? They were scared shitless, he's bigger than any 3 of them. :lol:

I honestly don't think that applies here. He was a top coordinator for atleast a decade and they wouldn't give him a chance. I think he's got a chip on his shoulder against that league.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part though because once a certain program is tired of top 5 recruiting classes with nothing to show for it, he'd probably put them over the top.
 
Would love to see the refs from our Sunbowl game officiating any SEC game. The players would be flagged at least every other play for unsportsmanlike conduct.

"Fun and Gun won't work in NFL."

Why do you think CPJ left Navy for GT?
"Your offense won't work in a BCS conference."

It’s wrong. It’s lazy. You would expect a sense of pride to be at stake, but maybe that is too ideal. Maybe it is too much to ask when a system as flawed as the BCS is in place.

True but they're just regurgitating the crap ESPN talking heads were spewing after the game about UF not giving a crap as the reason for getting curb stomped.
 
I don't think strong would leave L'ville at this point for anything short of a BIG program (Bama, ND, Michigan, Ohio State, NFL). I think he might even tell Florida to pound sand at this point. He was told no at enough of those "other" SEC schools enough that he's pissed and wants to send a message with his lowly BE/ACC team.

He seems to be a pretty decent guy regardless. I am a fan now...
 
Can I just say that, and USC said the same things after we stomped them, the attitude of "We didn't want to be there." makes them look worse to me. Oh, so your team didn't want to play that game? Then don't play it! You can decline Bowl invitations. And if you're going to have that attitude, get stomped in a bowl game, and then bitcha bout losing afterwards, then you should stay home.
