Haynes has earned the MF.

My six year old is obsessed with Haynes King. We just saw a Haynes King autographed photo at the sports memorabilia store. I almost bought it for him but figured there’s probably a way to make sure the money is going towards NIL, so I held out. I wouldn’t want my kid looking up to Carson beck or the guy before him who has drunk himself out of the league after spending six years in college without earning a degree, but hey he won two championships.

It's more than that even. We can argue now about the state of the GT football program, fair enough plenty of valid viewpoints to lament there, but we actually do have one now and one that is trending up. I would argue that we didn't even have a football program with the last regime, I mean technically one existed but in actuality not really, thinking back I honestly don't see how we won any games at all. Total calamity at all levels.

Today is misery incarnate for sure. But that is because I'd argue we were the better team last night. It wasn't going to be some fluke win because they had 5 turnovers etc. We beat ourselves more than they beat us. Which makes it suck worse to go through but did anyone have even a modicum of this back then. Any hope at all? No of course not. Remember "man, y'all so unprepared". They aren't taking us lightly any more and they know they got away with one. So while it is suffering today, have a few dozen drinks today and move on because we are on our way back and the future is bright.

Literally no one is saying that a 7-5 season is legendary. They are saying that Haynes King is a tough mother ööööer who puts it all out there for us, because he is.

And if you can't see that then you're the one who should be ashamed of yourself.
 
The bellyaching in this and other threads is nuts IMO. HmfK played one hell of a game. Was it perfect? No. Are we national championship caliber? Not yet, but we’re moving in the right direction for the first time in a long time. UGAy is a better team with better athletes overall and much more depth. And we should’ve beaten them. I’m not happy about the loss, but I’m not gonna poor mouth every little thing I wish we would’ve done differently.

All hail HmfK. What a beast.

I get the point and I believe we can compete with anyone in the country. Granted at the end of the day were a 7 win football team, but again I get your point. However including FSU as if they were actually a top 10 ten team removes all credibility in your post

If we had won last night, you would not be posting today. Just like how you had nothing to say after F$U or UNC or Miami.

We're a 7 win team but the way we got there gives me hope that we could be a 9 or 10 win team next season. Playing two games like Miami and Georgia shows the talent we have.

That's why I clearly stated "when we played them"

The team was extremely prepared to play every "big" game. Now, Key just has to make every game a big game to the team. That takes more time, and is harder than, scheming

I agree with you. My only hesitation is with the current state of CF you just never know who you’ll have or not have. I personally don’t believe King stays. I believe a perennial blue blood will throw a bag and he’ll leave for the money, shot at a title, and an offensive system that he doesn’t have as many QB designed runs and throws vertically more often.
