North Carolina 24, Georgia Tech 14: The Yellow Jackets have too many problems up front -- on both sides of the ball -- to overcome the Tar Heels’ stingy defense and rapidly improving offense. UNC proved last year it can contain Paul Johnson’s offense in a 28-7 win, so there’s no reason it shouldn’t do it again.

Here we go again "can contain Paul Johnson's offense." People act like once you have beaten us, you will beat us forever. I don't get it. So once you lose as an offensive coordinator to a team, that team will beat you forever because they have figured out your offense?

I'm going to have to get a subscription so I can ask her to define "contain." 300+ yards rushing, with all your promising drives snuffed by fumbles is not that in my book.

According to HD's logic, we should have beaten Miami 42-21, rushing for 400+ yards a week ago.

She probably just looked at the score and made a prediction. Lazy reporting. Her opinions I've learned to disregard.

She's not worth the price of the subscription. This is why she shouldn't be a sports writer.

Many people on Stingtalk used that same logic to produce that same prediction. Go back and look.

Well, I'm not a Heather hater, but this surprises me. To me, she has announced that she has no faith at all in our team or coaching staff. She also failed to mention that our pathetic offense gained 420 yards against their defense last season. Sure, she might be right, we might only score 14 or less and get humiliated, but I think it's a pretty unusual pick. If we can't score more than 14 this particular game, I will be pretty discouraged. But then, what do I know?

People always bitch at these predictions, but if we get beat soundly she'll look like a genius. Take off your gold colored glasses. Everyone that predicts against us isn't out to get us. Clemson contained us in 2008 and did it again in 2009. There really isn't any reason UNC shouldn't be able to do it again BECAUSE OUR OLINE SUCKS ASS JUST LIKE LAST YEAR.

He's right in this case. There's nothing really surprising about a pick against us right now. I'm sure most of the people on this board(including me) think that we're going to win, but that's mainly because we have faith in our coach and our team to turn it around, not based on evidence from this season.

While I think we can win the game, I don't understand what Kyle botched in his post.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but my belief is that Kyle's one and only reason for posting things like that is to be bothersome. If I am wrong, I am wrong. But it seems that way to me.

His post was actually pretty accurate, and was well substantiated... I dont know why so many of you guys let the truth get your panties in a bunch.

What does some bimbo from the Big Ten know about ACC football? Reading her column is a complete waste of time.

Contain - to prevent from advancing OR from making a successful attack; to keep within limits

Seems to me that if you prevent someone from scoring, at least in the game of football, then you have indeed CONTAINED their offense. Sure we rolled up plenty of yards but isn't the object to put point on the board, and not just pile up statistics between the goal lines? We were certainly kept, for the most part, within the limits of the field outside of the end zone.

I understand that folks don't like Heather Dinich. But why is it such a SHOCKING prediction that because they had success at keeping us from scoring many points last year and combined with them having excellent defensive success this year that they MIGHT stand a chance at doing the same to us this year? Combine those things with the difficulty we have had scoring this year, comparatively speaking, and I think her prediction is pretty reasonable. That doesn't mean other predictions are unreasonable. Just that hers seems to be based on some logic from what happened last year between GT and UNC AND what GT and UNC have both done this year. It isn't the only logical and reasonable conclusion based on all those facts, just one that is plausible.

LOL. While I dont agree with Heather, I do completely understand why she is saying this.

Me too.

We're winning this football game on Saturday. Partly because our team is going to play out of their minds, or at least they d*** well better.

If not, I'll take my crow raw, thank you.

I agree it is plausible.

Make the call JOJATK, who is winning this game on Saturday. GT or UNC? Who do you think will emerge triumphant?
