She's still a human being though guys... I mean geez...

" You're a disgrace, woman."

"shes not going to take any questions that actually would make her conduct some reasoning or analysis..."

etc. etc etc... seriously guys?

I'm pretty sure I know who GTLAXMan is.

Funny that HD got hammered with SEC Speed questions. Good for her.

If she wanted to throw away the Vandy game (HTH results), then she should throw away the UF-FSU results because UF was head and shoulders better than everyone in the SEC and the ACC.

If I made a statement that was blatantly not true on here about GT with no data to back it up, are you suggesting that I wouldn't get the same treatment here?

She is a human, but she has not:

1.) Admitted she was wrong OR
2.) Defended her comment.

Until she does either, she's a coward.

It's part of journalism. This isn't a grammar school's school newspaper. This is world wide stuff she is posting. She should expect ridicule. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

I agree she should be held accountable, but it should be done with class...

You don't saying things like

"You're a disgrace woman"

For a man to say that to a woman under any circumstances is uncalled for...

This is the woman who is supposed to be on the ACC's side, and all she does is attack it. I mean hell, she makes fun of the ACC in a routine segment with the BE guy.

She probably thinks her job and the ACC are a joke, but HAS to write about us.

I'd rather have someone with no writing skills that believes the things they write than someone who will write about the ACC and then turn around and badmouth them.

Her job isn't to be on the ACC's side. It is to blog about the ACC.

In all the questions I submitted, none of them attacked her. They all attacked her comments.

You're probably one of those people that supports Doug Roberson from the AJC as well. Clearly a Dog fan posting about GT.

I'm not saying she has to be the biggest ACC fan, but when your posts about what you are writing comes out derogatory to what you are writing about then it's time to get a new writer.

She has to remember who she is writing for.

Exactly, she went out of her way to talk about how good the SEC is and how they are at another level athletically. That was not necessary to blog about the game. I looked at the game last night and didn't see SEC speed. I saw two crappy teams.

You think she is writing for us? ACC fans?

She writes for ESPN, that is where her paychecks come from. Her primary goal is to increase traffic to ESPN.com which will help increase ESPN's advertising revenue.

What better way to increase traffic than to stir up controversy?

Good point. If I wasn't hell bent on sending her a 'mailbag' question every hour or so until she answers it, I would stop going to the site.

Guys we can argue about it until we are black and blue. ESPN is putting the SEC on a pedistal and there's nothing anybody can do about it until somebody starts beating them regularly. They have a contract with the SEC so yes they are gonna shove SEC down your throats if you are using them as your media outlet. Even the UGA/SEC fans that I encounter every day at work talked about how crappy that game was and how bad both teams looked. Not one mention of how that shows SEC is better.

Hehe, I just consider the conference blogs as entertainment.

Now, the "commentators" from the NCSU vs. USCe game were just ridiculously SEC-biased. Bleh.

I do agree that you would like to think that whoever the "ACC Blogger" is, is a person who is passionate about the ACC and has a vested interest. You dont like to feel like it's a person who views the ACC as the "red headed stepchild" assignment. Which i get the feeling that sometimes her true interests and passions are somewhere else...

Bingo. Get ready gang, the ESPN media machine will make the "pro-Obama liberal media" look unbiased. I hope to God that OSU can pull this game out against the mutts. The coverage/overating that the Big 10 has been getting for the years will now go to the SEC.

God help us all.
