As I expected, Dwyer isn't even on the list. His numbers so far this season haven't been eye-popping like they were last year. Maybe if he can string together several games like the last, he can creep up a bit. Here's ESPN's expert picks:

Also, you can write in JD at this poll:

JD has 324 votes (1%). Jacory Harris is leading that poll - so I'm guessing it's not going to mean much in the end.

Unless he gets 150+ yards against FSU and VT, he's not getting an inviation to the ceremony.

More like 250+ because he's so far behind.

He's out of the race unless he runs like a man possessed for the rest of the year.

I love him to death, but he was never going to win the Heisman or even go to New York.

Heisman is a popularity contest. I think all the other awards (Butkus, Belitnikoff, O'Brien etc) are more interesting.

Draft order is pretty much the only thing that impresses me. Unless there is the rare occurrence of someone like Tebow who will not get drafted high, but is a great College QB.

Agreed, he won't even be invited now unless he has a ridiculous rest of the year. Big games on big platforms (VT, FSU, ugag) are all that can help him. Like 200 yards, multiple TDs big.

But I'll still support his cause!

It will be three quarterbacks again this year. Runningbacks need to have video game numbers to even get invited. Dwyer is not going to get those numbers, and never was, simply because of how our offense works. He may have a few big games strung together, but teams will begin to key in on him, and we'll take what the defense is giving us and get the ball to someone else.

I disagree that a RB can't have good enough numbers in this offense to win a Heisman. Adrian Peterson played at GSU for CPJ and put up some sick numbers:

"Became the first player in conference history to rush for over 1000 yards in four seasons…In 42 regular season games, he rushed for 85 touchdowns and averaged 155.8 yards per game…In 57 career contests, he carried 1378 times for 9145 yards (6.6 avg), 111 touch- downs and an average of 160.44 yards per game…Owns the top four season rushing total marks in GSU annals."

Peterson finished among the top three vote-getters for the Walter Payton Award (IAA Heisman equivalent) in all four of his seasons. He won the award in 1999.
