I think we can win the East. Florida didn't look good at all. We get UGA in Knoxville, so we'll see. I think the Coastal could be yours for the taking. I think it's you guys or VPI.
 
I didn't have any issues w VOLS fans at the game. Before the last play, turned to the Vol next to me and said 'either way, hell of a game. safe travels home.' shook hands, it ended like it ended.
He turned his back, I kicked him in the spleen, took his wallet and his wife.
Anyway, his wife lives here now, she cooked a delicious spare rib for my wife, my girlfriend and my kids.

In fairness, they didn't really have a lot of time to talk shit. They were getting the hell beat out of them the vast majority of the game.

You have as good a shot as any from what I saw week one. Your team made plays where they had to. At least you get in the record books for being the only team in the modern era to give up more than 500 yds rushing and get a W out of it. (Haven't researched that stat, heard it on the radio.) Still shaking my head.

I'll be honest, your reputation is sh×t. But all my real life experiences with UT fans vastly exceed your reputation. Makes me question the reputation.
 
I think Tennessee is a 9 win team this year.

But that might be enough. The SEC east is garbage.

Grew up a UF fan, and I'm rather concerned about them this year. UT should be able to make a good run at the east, particularly as the QB continues to develop his reps with that WR (#1?).

Since during the game when it looked like we were going to win handily, I've seen numerous people crowing about how bad Tennessee is, Butch will be fired within a month, etc. But I agree with you, who is this fierce competition they face in the East? The Vols I watched can definitely beat the Florida and Georgia teams I watched.

In all fairness, fans of other teams don't generally talk much trash when they're getting their shit pushed in all game.
