Hmmm, Army will leave ConUSA after \'04 season
The Army will play as an independent, like Navy does now. Army had always been an independent before joining CUSA for the '97 season. Army will be much much better off playing Eastern teams & national interest teams. Army has always been associated with East football.
It appears to me that was just the wrong conf to join. Most think it's better to conference up, rather than be indy, but ConUSA had absolutely nothing to offer a military, academic team in NY. Could Army/Navy be teaming up to join BigEast? Or somewhere else?
