92.9 The Game gave us alot of love today. One of the guys this morning wanted to say it would have been a different game it not for the two fumbles in first half by UGA. One of the other guys answered by saying uga had alot of home cooking too which brings me to my question:
When did the rule change that allows for the home team to keep their conference officials and why did it change?

Saw it in several other threads. Apparently it happened a couple years ago after Florida lost a home game OOC on a controversial call; now Florida and U[sic]GA both stipulate in the contracts that the home team provides the officials.

Honestly I don't think it's that big of a deal. SEC officials could screw us just as easily in Bobby Dodd as in Sanford, and vice versa I don't really understand why third party officials aren't standard for all big non-conference games.
