Home uniform color scheme officially revealed!

I thought we kinda knew this was coming. I would like to see the new unis, but it's nice to have some confirmation, even if it is from the most unreliable source in the universe.

Lame.

White shirts / gold pants is the least interesting of our looks, to me at least.

+1

Edit... So we'll mostly be wearing white then (home and away)?

I also thought this had been announced already. I was under the assumption we would try to wear white as much as possible (if the visiting team allows) plus have a game with the blue jerseys and a throwback uniform for a game.

I am glad to hear that we are wearing the white jerseys again. I always thought that white jerseys and gold pants are our best combination. It also makes us unique in the world of college football.

I would like to see us have a "white-out" at one or more of the games. Since every shirt in the bookstore is a different shade of gold (from urine gold to throwback gold to Gailey's gold to yellow to those blue and black shades of gold), maybe we could all wear white to the game.

Does anybody remember the white shakers that were passed out at a basketball game many years back in order to honor Bobby Cremins' white hair. Maybe we could have some of those made up as well.

Just a suggestion. I really don't care what they wear, as long as we win.

Go Jackets!

I thought we needed permission from the visiting team to wear white at home?

You do, but most teams allow it.

In 1982, the NCAA changed its jersey rule, requiring teams to wear dark colored jerseys for home games. It changed again in 1995. Now the visiting team has to give the home team permission to wear the white jerseys.

y y good

A pretty good example of how dumb the NCAA can be. What possible (sensible) justification can there be for preventing the home team from choosing its own home game uni?

What happened here? At first we were told the players were picking a uni and pictures were shown of options and in the end sounds like Taz made the final decision.

WOOHOO! White at home. Makes my day.

I love the traditional look. It puts us back up there with classic college unis like Penn St. - probably my second favorite unis in football.

Now if we could get our fan base to pick a color, we might show up well on TV. My choice is everyone wears white.

I hate wearing white at home... I was hoping for the navy jerseys and white pants at home and white jerseys with gold pants for away games... So we'll be wearing the same jerseys EVERY game this year? Thats lame as crap

White carries us back to Tech tradition. Frankly, I like the gold jerseys. But, blue is absolutely my least favorite option, so I am glad we will not be in home navy.

OK, This is good. White jerseys with gold britches and hats is a classic GT look that stamps a contigious look on the brand. In highlights, in the news, when you look at a half-dozen games being shown at Taco Mac, we'll always look the same.

This is good.

I must admit, a "white-out" would look pretty awesome.
