I am 47 and had no idea. With a name like Temple, I assumed a college with a religious affiliation. All those years watching Cheney coach and I thought he was coaching a school like Villanova or St. Joes.

Burning couches and bleacher-shitting fans aside, why would you move from wvu to Houston? If Houston is in the big 12, I can see it, but you're leaving a decent p5 program for a g5. Maybe holgorsen doesn't think wvu will be any better and can use Houston to get a different job in 2-3 years even though it's at a lower level?

I feel sorry for all those UH Alums that just saw their degrees devalued

After all, investing in your FB program devalues degrees, at least that's what I've been told

The NCAA is a cowardly shytty organization

They should force the Big12 to take back SMU and UH

Geographically it makes sense and competition wise it makes sense, the Big12 is acting in an anti-competition (?) manner, by blocking those schools from joining they're making it easier for Big12 members to recruit in Texas by barring them entry into the Conf

I thought the NCAA was against paying players because it would create competitive disadvantages, yet they let the Big12 do the same thing and flaunt it in everyone's faces

This is why I like what Bagmen stand for, anything to undermine the corrupt NCAA

Nobody says that.

Creating a degree specifically for the football program does. That is beyond wag the dog.

We aren't that bad off anyway. Only 5 teams or so start the year with more than a 1% chance of winning a national championship. We are one of the 123 or so programs that don't.
