Agree we need a new AD. Disagree he/she needs to have had anything to do with GT in the past. Good grief.
 
A couple positives in that he’s a former Jacket and that he’s been an OC at a successful program. But how much of that is due to the HC and, probably more importantly, the recruitment pool? Further, would he want the job? He seems content as a 2nd fiddle.

That said, my general take on our whole HC situation is that there’s not a strong pool to chose from. I’d love for us to mimic UGAg when they snagged Hellen Hunt out from Bowden’s shadow, but I just don’t see that happening for us.

It pains me to say this, but our next best option is another CCG. Someone who can leverage their NFL experience toward recruiting.
 
That guy at App State looks to be a guy who has them playing at a high, physical level. Problem is, some of these "non-Power 5" teams look at Tech and realize they have a better situation where they are.
 
O'Brien just had is ass handed to him with a Heisman QB and supposedly some of the best talent around. Just because he was stationed here a few years should not put him on a short list. Doubtful he would be interested anyway - he has a better gig at Alabama with good pay. How would you like to call plays with Key's offensive line up front?
 
I used to be against BOB but I would be fine with him. He had not coached in college for a long time until Bama. NFL pedigree seems to help recruiting and he should be able to build a good staff.
