I might as well be 600 miles away because I still can not get the games at night and I live in Duluth. And I want to get them for the things Bell is saying and getting away with it because he is a fenoit asshole. I do not listen to them coz I ride the Harley every day, but we deserve a better flagship station. I do not think beau or steak should be congratulated for their postive remarks on TECH any more than I think your average person should be rewarded for not robbing a bank. We deserve it and I want to screw them bigtime.
I live in Lawrenceville area as well. You can pick up night games on 102.3 the lake. I can also pick up the station in Rome at night. I can't remember the frequency.
Yes, the signal is weak. I can't pick up 680, 640, or 790 at night either. The problem is there is one AM station in this city that can go full power all the time and it's 750, and they aren't dumping the Dawgs anytime soon.
What station do you think should be our flagship?

790 is as good as it's going to get for now. They have a job to do, and unfortunately GT is in an area where we are the minority.
There really isn't another good option for now. Hopefully something will change down the road.
We need to make the best of it,and appreciate the coverage we do get.
I have trouble like everyone else getting GT sports at night living in Gainesville. Really sux. BUT, it's better than what my father has on GA coast. It's better than what GT J.T. has in VA. It's better than a lot of people have.
We can bitch all we want about it, but until there is a better option it's not going to do any good.
Bell can make jabs at us all he wants. Buck is going to be Buck, He's a dog. Let's just make them hurt on the playing field. :-)

screw them? What would be the best way for people to "disrupt" their pregame show outside the stadium?

That's the spirit. Just sit there and make the best of it. Screw that. Do we not pay ISPee to make these deals for us? Make them earn there money and get off their wine & cheese carolina snobass. Let the fenoits at 790 know how we feel constantly and give them Hell when they set up at BDS on gameday. They are not putting us on the air for our benefit, they are getting something out of it, make them earn it.
What's the problem with 790. Yes, Mike Bell was taking shots at the ACC and GT fan support. But this is sports talk, it's supposed to be entertainment. The guys on the Hive failed to mention that Steak had a lot of nice things to say about our atmosphere and tradition. Beau Bock is in love with GT. He practically wants to adopt George Godsey.

What people don't understand is we were nothing but paid programming on WGST. We pay them a fee to air our games and coaches show. ISP sells ads to cover the costs and perhaps make a few bucks. That was it, they didn't care about our program, they didn't run liners saying they were the home of GT football. 790 doesn't make much on our deal, but they do get the respect which comes along with being the flagship station for a Div-I program. Unfortunately, that is only of value to a sports station but I'm glad to see they value it.
What are the options? 680thefan, they have clearly tried to be the Dawg station and I doubt they would do much to promote GT sports as the SEC crowd is their core audience. WGST, once again we were just paid programming to them. Nothing more than the Bob and Rod home show. What choices does that leave, Z93, Star 94??? So you see our problem here. Personally, I'm glad we are on one of the few stations in Atlanta that is not afraid to say they are the flagship station for GT Football and Basketball.
