I think we need to take the Cock gameplan and utilize it against UGAy.

How was it done?

Q: How did South Carolina do it?

He hates UGA as much as we do --and he does something about it-- he beats them! (In this photo he's probably pointing to the UGA sideline, saying, "I own you!")

SC beats us once every 5 or 6 years. They were due. If that's not enough for you, they had experience at key positions on defense versus our OL that consists of freshmen and sophomores.

No biggie. We'll start another 4 or 5 year run on them in 08, regardless of the A-hole in the visor. I can promise you, at SC he'll lose to UGA more than he beats us.

Doubt it all you want, but SC doesn't have the players or the recruiting base that Spurrier had at UF.

In addition, Spurrier came into the SEC in the early 90s and brought some innovative offensive ideas into a league that never threw the ball around much and spreaded out in 4 wide sets.

Toward the end of the 90s / beginning of the 00s Spurrier wasn't having the same success at UF that he had enjoyed in the early to mid 90s; primarily due to the league's defenses "catching up", to a certain extent. A lot of that had to do with installing more speed on defense, especially at the LB position.

Spurrier will NEVER again enjoy the same success he had against UGA (or ANY team) in the 90s.

You better hope some rumors regarding Steve arent true about Auburn

I do...
It does...
and he will...

Personally, I, as a UGA Alum and season ticket holder, would prefer Spurrier stay at SC for as long as possible.

The longer he is there the more we get to remind him of why he hates us. Considering the talent UGA is stockpiling and the maturation of our coaching staff, I am looking forward to watching UGA make his coaching life miserable.

I can promise you it WILL happen.

The longer he is there the more UGA fans are reminded how much he hates them and why they hate him. Considering the talent UGA is stockpiling and the maturation of it's coaching staff, Spurrier will look forward to continuing to make UGA fans miserable (like keeping UGA from a possible BCS title shot this season).

I don't make promises for others --but it WILL in all likelihood happen.

Maybe if Les Miles goes to Michigan, Spurrier can go to LSU...that would be a scary combination.

I agree...as long as richt is at UGA..I agree with this.

Spurrier is a great coach...so is MR. I think its a wash and UGA will always have better talent.

Thats talking a lot of smack after he whooped you with inferior talent THIS YEAR, at your place.

One could argue Spurrier is going backwards.

7-5
8-5
Likely 6-6 this year when Clemson beats them Sat.

Holy cow. You aren't really that short-sighted; are you?

Go back and review my initial response in this thread.

South Carolina's defense carried them early. They have had a lot of injuries on defense, and like us, they have no depth. Talent wise they parallel us in many ways--for example, losing a very good WR to the NFL as a junior.

Of course, since you hurl insults at GT fans who dare to watch other teams play, I post this at my own risk. Heaven forbid that one should actually learn about college football from watching other teams play!
