How do most GT fans protect Their Egos?

How do you protect your ego?

Actually, you are one of few (very few) mutt fans I have come across who actually seems to have some class. So no, I don't hate you, but to resort to some of the silly attempts at humor that often get posted on here, I wouldn't date your momma. LOL
You’re doing it wrong, you’re supposed to say you’d date his momma real hard.

Soooo Vad Lee?

I generally just tell myself it’s never as good or bad as it seems.

Also, since I am a UGA alum/lifelong GT fan, I can always jump ship and start pulling for my alma-mater. But it’s been 36 years now since my freshman year, and I’ve yet to do that, and of course never will as my passion for GT still runs deep. UGA just happens to be the place where I sacrificed four years of my life for my degree, a degree that has served me well in my career.

I do take some pride in this -as most of my friends that I grew up with and either was a UGA fan but went to Tech, or vice versa, switched allegiances upon their enrollment in one or the other. I just never did.

The son of my Clemson grad friend who I always attend the GT-CU game with just graduated from USCe, but maintained his allegiance to Clemson. We like to say that I was his role model in accomplishing this.

I know a Clemson grad who is a USCe fan. He hates Clemson with a red hot fire.

The closest FBS team to where I live does a good job of providing an example of how things could always be worse.

So I’m guessing the answer to the age old question is underperform for a year, transfer to another team, so the savior of our program can come in after us.

We need to understand we are the little brother and UGAg is the older, ugly ass, redneck, big brother. Big brother takes glee in beating the little brother's ass. Eventually, he gets bored after numerous ass kickings of Lil bro and falls asleep on the couch. At that moment, little brother goes and grabs the wiffle ball bat from his room, sneaks over to big brother, and starts wailing on him with the bat, beating the öööö out of big brother for as long as he can while big brother is disoriented. Big brother eventually gains his senses and returns to kicking little brother's ass. However, little brother is getting older, stronger, catching up. Eventually, he catches up to big brother in size and strength and becomes a formidable foe to reckon with.

This is what I live for.

You bunch of pussies. I want to be there for UGAg falling asleep on the couch this season and us beating their ass. I also want to be at BDS in 2 years when us kicking their ass is no longer a surprise, but a distinct possibility.
I think you need a dose of reality friend. Paul Johnson isn't here anymore, and the option at least evened things on a given day. Our OLine vs. Georgia's defense is probably going to be one of the worst mismatches in history. If you look at when Tech upset the asses (I cannot even remember in my lifetime if we were favored, not saying we weren't, but I don't remember it) we had a competitive team, under Carson/Rock Perdoni, etc. we had a discipline, solid defense. O'Leary with Friedgen calling and Joe Hamilton at least could go up and down the field on them. I think you need to really analyze how lopsided this and realize there is no distinct possibility so you don't wake up from your nap and find out another slaughter has taken place. To make this rivalry real again we need to stop gimmicks, hire a competent staff and get serious.

That's right, we never beat UGAg before CPJ showed up. We especially didn't beat them 3iar. There was no victory in 1984, just a few seasons after UGAg had won a Natty.

BTW, GT still has the most wins IAR in the series

And NOBODY expected to win with Dewberry. We didn't expect to win in 1998 since we got ööööed in 1997 by refs.

It is nice to look back upon our victories in the series and say "yea, but GOL or we had this or that" but we have rarely been favored to win. Last I remember was 2009

If any Tech fan doesn't want the same scenario to play out, then they need to find another team to pull for. I don't like Collins, which I am sure comes as no surprise to anyone, but if he gets us to that point, then I will retract everything bad I have ever said about him. My number one love is Georgia Tech, and I hate the s*** out of the cesspool and anybody or anything associated with that dump. GO JACKETS and TO HELL WITH GEORGIA !!!
Geoff ain't getting us to that point---EVER. Tomorrow's game will convince the remaining skeptics.

Isn’t it a little asinine to say that though? I agree it’s bad and doesn’t look like it will happen.
