Enough about UVA, BC, Gailey..etc. What are your thoughts from a X/O standpoint.

There is NO reason why we should win this game.

Therefore, we win by a field goal. Tech football baby.

It's not about stopping their offense. It's about getting our offense going. We just have to face the fact we'll probably give up at least 21 points to them.

Time to get our running game back up and going.

Score more points.

On a serious note, Chilidogking gaurantees victory this week. The Gailey era has had been marked by ridiculous losses like yesterday and surprising victories. This Saturday will be one of the victories.

There's no logical reason to think Tech can even keep it close, so I can't give any X/O reasons why GT will win, but I'm calling it right now.

Tech 27-21.

My sentiments exactly. Something about revenge and beating teams we're not supposed to...

Although, this usually happens on the road...

Honestly, I'm not sure we can beat them. The academic side of me says NO and the athletic side says HELL YES. I'm thinking that if Furman could run and throw well against Clemsons' defense, then Tech should be able to as well.

If Appalachian St can get their team high enough to beat Michigan, I think Tech can rebound after a couple of losses to demonstrate that the season is not over. Sooooo, I guess my hopes and money are on our Jackets against Clemson.

the key will be getting to Harper. Tenuta use to strike fear into QB's now all of the sudden everyone is picked up and that QB has all day.

If we can get to Harper I think we will win the game. The only thing worse than a UVA loss will be a loss to Clem's son that I drive to ATL to see.

On a positive note the stadium will be rocking.

Play our most talented offensive player instead of keeping Nebitt on the bench!

The first thing we have to do is stop their running game. If we can't do that it turns into a jailbreak.... like last year.

We wake up and play with passion. Enough of this swagger that we have for no reason. I wanted to see us pop someone in the mouth at the line this weekend, but didn't. Hopefully we see it against Clemson.

Watching that ga game (I was with Bama fans, thank goodness) was a real eye opener. Their guy Moreno really injects a lot of energy in their team. We need this. They looked determined and fired up. Don't say we've never played a game like that in an atmosphere like that. What's the difference between the atmosphere & crowd of last night's game in Tuscaloosa and last year's game in Clemson? Night game, in-conference with a ton of gravity...

I have had a policy of not getting on Gailey about anything, but it's his sixth year and now's the time to take a hard look at his teams. One thing in common.... NO PASSION. No passion that is positive and can win us games consistently, anyway. We need a MOTIVATOR!

I will see what I can dig up tomorrow at work and write more. It was a sorry ride back home I know that. These boys are gonna hear it this week just like they did on the way home. It was a piss-poor effort all around and very disappointing, I'm going to be honest in my report tomorrow about some things I saw and how I feel some things might change.

It really is true what they say, about the backup QB being the most favored player on the team.

Hopefully we'll fight to the end against Clemson...

Anybody get the impression that we lack the capacity for an emotional, fight to the finish, "somehow find a way to win" element? Does the coaching staff need lessons in motivational psychology?

So you are thinking we are going to win this game with our defense? You are deluding yourself. If we have any chance to win this game it has to be a shoot out.

Enthusaim is contagious. It all starts on Defense, were we are seemingly healthy. M. Bennett can play free safety, so if DJ is banged up we don't lose much there. I think we need to play tighter with the corners, lock up on the TE, and LB's hawk the tailback slipping out in space. Harper has got to be harrassed to slow the rythm, thus making bad throws. Bowden loves to spread everything out and throw the flanker screen. We will see this over and over...just like we saw UVA's TE's make play after play. Lastly, we have got to contain that TB speed on the edges and force everything back inside.

For starters, we don't spot them a 14-point lead in the first quarter and we don't give them any gift TDs.
