How do we beat CLEMSON?

I will see what I can dig up tomorrow at work and write more. It was a sorry ride back home I know that. These boys are gonna hear it this week just like they did on the way home. It was a piss-poor effort all around and very disappointing, I'm going to be honest in my report tomorrow about some things I saw and how I feel some things might change.
demjackets what do you do? do you work for the school?

Offensive Musts:

OL has got to fire off stronger, excute traps, and pulls to give more of a crease for Dwyer. He cannot make his way through like Choice.

Throw some short passes on 1st and 2nd. 3rd down is killing us.
Kick in some gadget plays.
Roll TB out more and have receivers run "come back" routes.
Sustain drives

Anybody get the impression that we lack the capacity for an emotional, fight to the finish, "somehow find a way to win" element? Does the coaching staff need lessons in motivational psychology?

We fought to the end of both losses this season, we just didn't make the clutch plays to seal it. Like, you know, fielding a punt.

With the way the Team is mentally right now, if something bad happens early in the game it will get very ugly in a hurry..

With the way the Team is mentally right now...

If the team is in a similar place mentally to the fanbase, you're right. I'm not sure they are, though, because they clearly didn't give up down big against BC, and the didn't give up down big early against UVA.

I think the will to fight is one of the strengths of this team, so far. Character is one of the strengths of the team this year. Unfortunately, some of it's weaknesses are blocking, passing, catching, and fielding punts.

What are you basing that off of?

Mostly gut feeling, and the way they were acting on the sideline Sat. There was soooo much hype pre season and the way they worked their asses off this summer. Then came the BC beat down. Then we start out hung over(flat) against uva, but we did get back in the game and took the lead, but how many chances did we have (with good field position) to put the game away and couldn't do it? Even with bad starts good teams put games away like that. Now its like we're looking over our shoulder waiting for the next bad thing to happen. I don't think this team will quit like in Athens a few years ago, but personally I believe a good start is real important for us. As fans we need to raise some Hell Saturday night!!

Offensively, one thing this team has to do a better job of is convert third downs --GT has only converted about 20% of it's third down opportunities thus far. About 67% of those third down situations are eight yards or more --so you could point to second down as being an area where GT needs improvement as well.

Allow ArchiTECH to give the pre-game speech (either side, doesn't matter).

Score more points.

On a serious note, Chilidogking gaurantees victory this week. The Gailey era has had been marked by ridiculous losses like yesterday and surprising victories. This Saturday will be one of the victories.

There's no logical reason to think Tech can even keep it close, so I can't give any X/O reasons why GT will win, but I'm calling it right now.

Tech 27-21.

Sorry guys, didn't realize we'd win by more than 6. This was the easiest money Vegas has ever given me, and finally made up for my gigantic bet on the under during the 51-7 loss to uga, which should have been the easiest money I ever made.

Go jackets, thanks for the $$$, keep on winning...
