We are 1-1 as conference underdogs in away settings.(2-1 overall)The opposition might not be the best in the world but really could we have expected better?I am tickled to be in this spot. This yr was going to be struggle but so far we are showing a toughness thats encouraging.Coming back at BC and losing by 3 AT VT, are good signs.
The trick now is to keep improving. We lost this game becuse of the TOs that we dreaded were going show up in pre-season analysis. Can't stay in low scoring OFF mode if we are going to make those mistakes and pressure the DEF.
This game is another gut-check it looks like.

After watching all three games I feel we could/should be 3-0. Let's face it, we gave the VT game away with costly turnovers and mistakes.

It's true that going into the start of the season, a split @BC and @VT would be considered a good start --and it is. There are a string of winnable games coming up at home and if things go well GT should have some good momentum built up going into Clemson.

Noticing improvement from week to week is an important thing for me --and I do see that in many areas --there are a couple of areas that need some work, but that's to be expected with a young team learning a new system and adjusting to a new head coach and assistant coaches.

Right now I'm pleased with what I'm seeing, and that's a feeling I haven't had over the last few years.

After the spring game I was really expecting 1-2, but we are coming along fine. Our OL is killing us right now, but they are getting better..The future is bright!!

pretty good

Me too, but it is interesting that if we had lost to BC and won at VT we would likely have a different feeling about the 2-1 record.

It is true that we were very close to being 3-0 but 2-1 hopefully makes us hungrier. We are facing another tough D next week but we need to break through and start scoring more.

I like 2-1 as well, I was hoping for a split and we got it. Would like to trade VT/BC games as VT has better chance to play in ACCCG but oh well, their not that good and as some have said on here I think they will lose 2 to 3 more.

I want to be 5-1 after GWebb. These three games could catipult us to a great 2nd half of the season. One game at a time I know.

I really hope we devastate MSU next week. Mainly cause they are SEC and I want our players to be pissed after yesterday.

I want to see a thorough pounding. Like 51-7 :p

I'm happier about our 2-1 than my UGA roommate is about his 3-0, so that's nice. We see improvements on the GT side every game, and weaknesses exposed every week for UGA. Hop on the bandwagon now, it'll be full in about 60 weeks.

So far feeling are all over the board for the MSU game, but everyone I've talked to thinks we'll be favorites. One good capper said -4, another said -12.5, so it's all over the effing board right now.

I would say GT -7.5.

I'm not reading much into the Auburn game....AU was playing down to MSU.

Those are 2 of 4 away conference games that we mostly chalked up as probable losses. With the way our O is developing, the way our D is playing, and the way our other two away games (CU and UNC) look at this juncture, I'd say we ought end up 2-2 in all those games combined. If we can pick up both of those, look out.

UVA and Duke ought to be about as sure a win as we will see in conference this fall, and Miami and FSU are both at home, and we should be slight favorites.

We very well could be looking at the north side of 5-3 in conference, and 3-0 OOC heading into the UGAG game. 8-3 (5-3) is a real possibility at this point, given where we are today. So I guess I'm pleased.

I think the line may be 3-5 points in our favor. Neither offense is scoring enough to make the line very large and both D's are pretty good.

I should add that I have never bet on any sporting event so I don't follow the lines that closely but I think we are a small favorite mostly because of the home field.

My expectations have been exceeded so far. I did not expect us to be able to go into blacksburg and rack up that kind of yardage--without both our starting WRs.

I also did not think our defense would play as well as it has without Brad Jefferson & AT Barnes. Jefferson is a difference-maker.

I also feel frustrated because of the VT loss because (1) we outplayed them (2) screwed by refs (3) I see that if we continue to improve that game might cost us a conference championship & BCS berth.

This team plays hard and is fun to watch.

Not as good as I would with 3-0 but a helluva lot better than 1-2 (or 0-3 for that matter). We're young, VT isn't a bad team at all, and had the ball bounced our way a few times or we made some bigger plays we would have won. I'm pretty content with things as they are.
I expect our guys to play to the best level they can and the hardest they can and for the coaching staff to put them in the best position to win games. I believe those things happened and we're just dealing with inexperience/youth, but I think the team is getting better each week and that speak volumes to me.

I was hoping to go 2-1 through BC, VT, and Miss St, for a net of 3-1 to that point, and one loss going into the Clemson game. We're still on track for that, and we're making noticeable improvements running the option.

Totally happy with where we're at right now. I didn't expect to win the coastal this year anyway. However, if VT manages to lose 2 games, we've still got a shot at it.

I think it's a pretty good testament to how far along Johnson has brought this team that we're having this discussion. After watching that game, I don't feel happy that we're 2-1. I should, and I would have been a month ago. But I'm not happy now.

That said, we're making huge improvements every week. If we keep getting better and better like this, then we may have a shot at winning the one game that matters. And that makes me extremely happy.
