How many night games will we have this year besides Clemson and Miami?

Aren't all the night games usually Thursday games?

God, I hope the nadlicker game is not at night. I can't stand those sobs for a 12:00 game and just imagine again seeing those bastards drunk all day and all game. When we put an ass whoopin' on them of biblical proportions we will break the all time fight record inside and outside of BDS@HGF. I'm hiring a body guard, any takers?

Of course, other than Thursday nights, the KO time isn't set until 2 weeks before the game, sometimes 1 week. As long as we win and our opponents win, the games become bigger and increase our odds of playing at night. Unfortunately, we play a lot of big games early in the season. If we are fortunate enough to be in the top 10 in the second half, we probably still won't get a night game because of our opponents. There is not much chance Duke, Vanderbilt, or even Wake Forest will enhance the matchup. Let's hope we make the most of the Thursday games and can add VT and UGA under the lights.

My wife is an Arizona State grad --so I am taking her to the ASU/UGA game. Of course I promised her this prior to the '09 schedules being set. That's the same day as the GT/UNC game.

I'm hoping somehow, someway that one of those games is an early day game and the other a night game, so I can make both! :fingersx:

Bummer. I expect that we will administer an epic arse whoopin on the tar holes to show our appreciation for the way they opened up the playbook on us last year after the outcome of the game was no longer in question.

Am I to understand that Refrigeratormover is offering his protection following our brutal, bone-crushing, defeat of the Dawgs? Name your price.

In all honesty depending on who wins and loses we can be top 10 before the Miami or UNC game. If 3 or 4 top ten teams lose in the first couple of weeks then its possible. Same way us beating ND and Samford somehow got us to 15.

I think there is an outside chance that the UNC game will be at night... they will be 3-0 and they are getting some decent preseason attention right at the bottom of the top 25, we should also be 3-0 and hovering around the #10 spot..... the only competition for night games will be VT v
U of M.I.A.(should be no contest cuz mia ought to be 0 fer at this point), ugag v asu, fla v kentucky just cuz its fla

I hope that the UGA game is in the afternoon personally. In the last twenty or so years, every Tech win over Georgia except for 1985 was in the afternoon.

When I looked at the schedule for the week of the VippySue game, there really aren't many HUGE games that could be night games. The Red River Shootout is that day, but that's always a noon game. I can't see Kentucky v Florida getting the spot ahead of a possible top 15 (or 10) match up. All I know is, whenever that game starts, them turkeys are screwed.

ABC 3:30 is the #1 slot time for ACC games. Basically, if we are the ACC game of the week its going to be 3:30. The only exception to that is if we are the ABC national game of the week, then we will be the 8:00 primetime game. We have been this game 3 times before (99 FSU, 00 FSU, and 05 UGA) that I can remember.
I only see 2 scenarios of us playing in this game:
1) GT and VT undefeated and in the Top 10.
2) GT and FSU undefeated and in the Top 10.

The #2 ACC slot is ESPN2 7:00 kickoff. We actually have a better chance of being slotted for this night game. Every game we play other than Duke, Miss ST, and Uva could end up in this time slot (not counting Thursday games and Jax St of course).

IMHO, more than likely FSU, VT, and UNC wil be the ACC game of the week, but probably not the National game of the week. Remember, the SEC, Big10, Big12, and Pac10 all have contracts with ESPN/ABC now along with the ACC. A Top 20 matchup between SEC teams will probably get the nod over any ACC matchup. Its just the way it is for the time being. Therefore, I think FSU, VT, and UNC will all be 3:30 kickoffs.

We were also the 8:00 ABC national game of the week against ND in 2006. We played BC at 8pm in 2007, but I can't remember if that was on ABC or not...tough to believe it would have been.

Why'd you have to bring that BC game up.....
Only slightly fond memory from that game was when my group and I started two bull**** chants in the student section.
