How much is Tenuta making and how much do we need to give to keep him?

Seriously guys? Tenuta has us in the top 20 defensive rankings for years. Ya, his secondary wasn't so hot this year...but there wasn't a runningback in sight all year. (well, maybe Thomas Brown but GT STUFFED Moreno, Spiller, Davis, Ore, etc)

Did you know that 40% of plays go for negative yards when GT is on defense? 40%!!!I say we do whatever it takes to keep Tenuta.
 
Agreed. Tenuta on defense is not the issue. Sure, some big plays are given up, but if our offense was actually making some big plays, we wouldn't even notice.

I do, however, recommend a new DB coach.
 
Yep, Easy that's it. JT with VT's corners would seem unbeatable. As for keeping him, not if WM is chosen.
 
So... as to the original question... What is JT making? Is money an issue, or is it all just in how compatible he is with a new HC?
 
Based on the candidates, Rad isn't entirely focused on cash. Rick would be expensive and Edsall probably very expensive.

I think he makes a little over $400K and the LSU rumor for $600K seems reasonable. Based on the money being thrown about at the top, $200+/- K should be no big deal.

We should pay John market price and try to keep him happy.
