huge recruiting breakdown

Daniel drummond - another flowery branch product. could play a lot of positions. Played b back in High school. But could play DE or LB at Tech. Drummond is very strong and has a lot of muscle. He seemed almost impossible to tackle for most HS kids. Rarely is brought down by the first Hit. He has excellent speed for a guy his size. Seems to have ok hands. I believe he will redshirt due to our depth. I give him four stars.

Jeremy Moore - a WR from Texas. He is a very lanky guy. Has good size at 6 ft 3. But needs to add some weight as he only weighs near 170. When you watch film on more the first thing you notice is his down field blocking. He is a excellent blocker and finishes every play. From the film I've seen he has good hands. Looks like a fine route runner. Can't really tell about his speed. I give him 4 stars.

Stephen Hill - probably our most publicized commit. A great WR talent. Really good size. Also a very good and willing blocker. He has great hands and routes look very solid. Not to mention he also has blazing speed. Jordan Luallen him and him seem to be building a good connection. Great job by the staff to keep him after the UGA offer. Most ready prospect IMO. I see him playing right away. I give him 5 stars.

On paper, David Simms sounds like a perfect QB for PJ, too bad we don't play football on paper. The future looks really bright!!!! ACC CHAMPS OR BUST!

OL Will Jackson - my favorite commit of the whole o line group we brought in. He has the perfect size for our system. He is 6 ft 4 and is up to 287 now. He has impressive movement for a guy his size. Known for having a nasty streak in the trenches. Has become good friends with Jordan Luallen. He is one of the guys rooming with Luallen at GT. Had good offers from plenty of other schools. Very smart player. I really haven't found a weakness in his game. If there is any freshman o lineman that could see time as a freshman its him. I think PJ will redshirt him though. I give him 5 stars.

Nice post BTW.

Moore: 3-star (WRs get higher rating due to offense, but not 4-star worthy)
Orwin Smith: 2-star
Drummond: 4-star (because I love him on Defense)
Will Jackson/Foster : 4-star
Beno: 2-star
Finch: 3-star

Raymond Beno - has great feet and athleticism. Appears to have great body control. What stood out to me on film was his ability to get to the second level. He went to the UGA camp and dominated. He dominated there star abry jones. Really impressed then. Beno does have some things he has to work on though. I give him 3 stars.

Antonio foster - the second best o lineman IMO. Has good size and speed. Very smart player who like most of our o line commits can get to the second level very well. His weakness on film was pass blocking. Seemed to struggle a bit at times with that. Had a lot of really good offers. Most likely a RS. I give him 4 stars.

Jay finch - very versatile. Its crazy for a guy his size to run a 4.71 fourty! He plays offense and defense line. He has a great motor. I really like his potential at both of his positions. Perfect fit for us. He will be a great down field blocker for us. Also is known for a really nasty streak. I see him getting a RS. I would give him 4 stars.

What is this 'pass blocking' that you speak off? Is that the new crap that Coach Hiesman is trying to get legalized. Shanangins if you ask me!

DE - Chris Crenshaw - he's about 6 ft 3 and coming in around at 245. Has good speed. Runs about a 4.7 in the fourty. He has a lot of muscle and is very strong. Can add up to 30 or so more pounds without losing much speed. Had almost 14 sacks his freshman year which is outstanding. He should also help us land stud DB B.J. Bostic. I think he redshirts. Give him 3 stars.

I'm impressed, supertech. Not a lot of people know that bit of history about John Heisman.

Izaan cross - another guy from Flowery Branch. He's 6 ft 4 and weighs around 250. Has a very impressive offer list. But the few times I have seen him he didn't really impress me that much. In the state championship he didn't really stand out. Has just ok speed. Seems like he has a good body frame that he can put some weight on. Could be moved inside later on. Does have a great motor and seems to get better s the game goes on. He will RS. 3 starts. FYI remember the name imani cross.

Emmanuel dieke - a very tall DE prospect. The staff has compared him to MJ and hope that's what he can become. He's very quick off of the line. He gives great effort and never quits on a play. He is going to have to put a lot of weight on. He is coming in at around 210. Dieke performed very well when he went to a Auburn camp earlier this year. I think he has to be heading for a redshirt. Low 3 star.

Euclid cummings - has unreal potential. He has only been playing football for a couple of years now. But yet he is very impressive. He's coming in at around 245. People like Scott Kennedy believe he can add thirty pounds really easy. He is another one of the players who gives it his all and never stops. Think he will redshirt. 4 star.

I'm with ya gt23eric,

DL Star ranking:
Cross: 4-star (Vance Walker replacement) at DT
Crenshaw/Dieke/Cummings: 3-star. My rationale is between the 3, we will end up with a super-stud at DE but no clue which one. 3-star players can be role players, solid starters, or super-stars. I think we'll see 1 of each from this group.
Lanier: 5-star (same as TJ Barnes, bigtime DTs are 5-stars at GT)

LB:
Watts: 4-star (people forget how good he is... but I'm from WaCo so I'm biased) 3-star in reality
Burnett: 3-star

Brandon watts - played the last half of the year with a torn labrum. That really impresses me. He had surgery in December. I think he will red shirt because of this though. He has good size. Good body frame. He is a very solid tackler. Seems to roll his hips very well. I give him 4 stars.
