Just a synopsis here for those on the board who werent able to listen this AM...

Paraphrased here....

So far the coaching change has been a smooth transition... "Coach D' has been great"

Beserevic moved to tackle... has worked hard in the weight room... is now somewhere north of 280...

The success of the Seattle Bowl attributed to Coach MAC doing a great job... everyone just had fun... that attitude carried over into the spring...

The biggest difference thus far with this staff as opposed to the previous... everyone is enjoying football again... having a good time, practices are not like going to a job...

There could be a seamless transition at QB.. with either AJ or Bilbo... either will do fine.. talked about all the things we have read or heard thus far... AJ a little more polished, experienced... but Bilbo can do some amazing things... turning a busted play into a touchdown..

Believes the trend is going away from the mammoth OL due to the quickness now found on DL's...

I know this isnt much, but again, just a little info for those who may have missed it... or are not in the Atlanta area...

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">No question about it Coach Mac, O'brien, Roof, etc. did an outstanding job in the Seattle Bowl against one of the finest teams in the country (not only the #1 offensive team but also the only team to defeat Oregon).
These coaches deserved a much a better fate than they got.
 
Beeware, honestly (and I know you don't have any problem being honest) do you think that keeping that staff and making Mac HC was the answer Tech needed? Come on. We all our proud of what those guys did in that game, but no one on that staff has the ability to be a big time HC. Maybe one day, but not now.

I like that the players are enjoying the new staff and have a new found excitement for the game.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">This makes me happy. I know a lot of the players really hated O'Leary's attitude and style. They respected it, but it made playing a chore rather than a good time. Just another reason I'm glad he's gone...looks like I'm not the only one either. I'm glad our team is having fun again.
 
The players were very smart. They knew that by promoting Coach Mac and keeping most of the Seattle Bowl staff, that all the good things that were developed under Coach O'leary could continue...but with the added benefit of a more positive (and fun) leadership style that is Coach Mac's style. The style that resulted in the #9BCS Stanford Cardinal getting their wings clipped big time.
The players lobbied very hard to keep the Seattle Bowl staff. The players will be proven right.
 
The players have also gotten over it and have been won over by the new staff. Maybe you should take the hint.
 
I am so glad that we have beeware. (really a dog in disguise) I guess when Dodd was elevated in the 40's we would have heard we need so and so. I'm also glad we have someone who is also smarter that the whole Tech AA and anyone else who might just have an opinion.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Stanford beat Oregon on a touchdown in the fourth quarter because Oregon didn't have a db that could match up with Teyo Johnson. That's right.
Stanford lucked(stumbled) into that win.
Oregon missed an extra point, had 2 turnovers after being up 42-28 halfway through the final period.

The cardinal was never a Top Ten team, they got some major breaks, a size advantage, and the benefit of AP pollsters never paying close attention to West Coast Football.
We won a 15-25 matchup in the Seattle Bowl.
Which amazingly is equivalent to beating UNC, but
O'leary did that!
So what's so great about that staff???

I cant disagree with you on the job the coaches did concerning the Seattle Bowl... Everyone associated with the program did a great job...

I think its also comforting to hear that the players seem to have moved on from last year... and that the transition to the new staff seems to be going very well...

Aha! I think I get it now! Its not so much Gailey and the new staff, its that we didn't keep Mac and the others! Any of the other candidates would've sucked just as bad. I see (I think).
