We went over 10 quarters of football without scoring a TD. I never thought I’d be apathetic about Tech football, but Geoff made sure that happened.

This is the same team we've seen the last 3 years. Shooting ourselves in the foot on offense, unbelievable penalties that kill drives, bad breaks that extend opponent's drives, defense keeps it close until they run out of gas, close late in the third only to be blown open in the 4th, inexcusable ST play.

Unless we play a perfect game or two early, expect the team to quit like they did last year and put in some pathetic games where we're blown out from the first snap.

If the game is on TV and I don't have other plans, I'll watch, but I'm not going out of my way.

Yep, I'm there too. I regret having donated to the A-T fund all these years. I will probably still watch when I don't have something better to do. I won't be jumping through hoops to find us on some austere network though.

We lost 6-14 on the road with Sam Houston St’s QB 12 months ago. We lost 10-41 at home this year. But somehow this asshat with a Waffle House cup still has people thinking we’ve progressed.

He will be fired. The season ticket sales are in the cellar and that's not tenable. It would've happened already if not for the extendo-contract.

This season is a last gasp chance for CGC to beat Georgia or win a bowl game to erase the writing on the wall. Instead he's spraying lacquer over it.

I lost all respect I had for Mr. Sweeney two years ago. Now, because of him, I have lost all respect for Clemson. But, we have only ourselves to blame for being so bad that he can do that to us. I hope Clemson loses all the rest of its games this year. If they play Georgia in the playoffs, I'm pulling for Georgia.

Cards on the table, I was drinking and at a bar with a bunch of people, so maybe I am being crazy. But here's what I saw that made me hopeful:

1. Pass protection seemed decent, which would make it the best pass protection we've had since CGC has been here. More often than not, Sims had an actual pocket to throw from, and receivers had time to run their routes. Not every time, of course -- but Clemson is a top defense and in past years it felt like the pocket was regularly collapsing immediately, or not even forming.

2. Defense was great right up until the amazing pitch play by Clemson's QB. Unfortunately it did fall apart after that, but from what I saw, the defense came to play. It wasn't just Clemson shooting themselves in the foot that kept us in the game so long.

3. Kicking (not punting.) Kickoffs in the endzone and nice distance on the FG attempts. Seems like we might have a normal kicking game this season, which would be the first time since when, 2014?

Of course there are still problems, starting with CGC's gameday decision making first and foremost, and followed closely by punting. But we should be 2-2 come the end of September, and we have a real good shot of being 3-1.
