We used to have an old vinyl LP that had the radio broadcast of Roy Riegels' Wrong Way Run.

Previous year was UGA's "Dream and Wonder" team of 1927--UGA was undefeated until losing to Tech in a shutout. Bobby Jones won the U. S. Open that year, so a pretty good year for Tech. (Also Ruth's 60 homers, Dempsey vs. Tunney), first sound movie, Lindbergh's flight, and a ton of other amazing stuff. I recommend Bill Bryson's book on the summer of 1927.)
