I feel the GT recruiting volcano starting a low rumble again!!!**

3 commits on ESPN = National exposure for 2007 -2008, oh it will prime the PUMP. I can only imagine what this could do for the recruiting efforts for the following year...I can't wait to see who steps up & says "I WANNA BE A JACKET!"

Based on what I have read on Scout & Rivals, Everson is most likely.

My next guesses are Nesbitt & Dwyer.

I also have a feeling about the safety Burnett. What can't this guy love about coming to a school with no secondary stars to speak of (when he will be playing), and being coached directly by Tenuta.

I think we have a shot at McCray, but he won't decide by the end of the month.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Claytor will go to LSU (or FSU, or Auburn).

I wouldn't hold out hope for McCray, I think he's a goner. Nesbitt has publicly set an announcement for the 31st, as has Dwyer ... so you have to think those two would be part of this deal. As for the 3rd? No clue, quite honestly - I can't see anyone else ready to commit right now.

Space is running out for the 2007 commits. Chris Evans (RB) played around with the process last year and ended up at UAB after being offered by Tech. Hard lesson to learn, but he just waited too long - Jamaal Evans committed to us and Quincy Kelly quickly took the last spot. Recruiting has rapidly evolved from a "play around and get some pub" thing to a "If I don't commit now, I may end up somewhere I don't want"

I feel that we'll get some good committs this weekend.

Guys like Dwyer and Nesbitt don't have to worry about that, if they picked a school - someone would make room for them. There's a huge difference in talent level we're talking about. Those guys aren't going to end up at UAB, even if they wait all the way to signing day.

I disagree with that. Of course UGAg could take them and send some folks to Hargrave, but once a team is out of spots, they are out of spots. Unless you back out of an offer to some other athlete - which could be bad for recuiting later - you have a max 25 to give in a year.

I just don't think nowdays that they could jerk coaches around until the last minute. Commit and back out later maybe, but wait until the last minute to commit to a team that has all of its slots taken? - nope

truth to this rumor?

So it's sounding like there is a lot of information out there on this package deal that we are supposed to be getting. Where did this info come from? Just from people in the know I guess? If you were to put a guess on how accurate this info is that is trickling out, how accurate would you say that it is?
