He coached with ultimate class. Did not show any extreme emotion. Was focused the entire game, even keel. And he has definitely turned the program away from their thug ways.

The thuggish actions of Miami was not existent in the game. Note: I am typing this with 11:00 left in the 4th Qtr.

Congrats to Coach Shannon for really turning that program around. I have no respect for their fans. But I do have a respect for the players and coaches for playing with class tonight. Congrats on the win. You deserve it.

Good post. Not a knock on Shannon, but I hate how the announcers say that he is pulling back the dogs a bit because he's such a magnanimous-Tebowesque guy rather than because Johnson showed him the same courtesy when the situation was reversed.

Shannon doesn't seem like he's going to go Florida-Citadel on us so he can't be THAT bad.

Edit: I retract that statement....

Miami is just calling running plays here and running the clock. No real reason to hate on Shannon tonight.

Exactly. I don't understand people's problem with him?? Yes, I am pissed we lost. But I recognize great coaching when I see it.

Anybody who doesn't think he coached with class is a f'ing idiot. He took a penalty on the goaline so he wouldn't score. Give him props.

Exactly. My hate for Miami football has dropped immensely after tonight. I never thought I would see a Miami team handle a win with such class in my entire life.

I repeat.. I am still pissed that we lost. But you have to give credit where credit is due.
