I have some more coaching news

Our 1 on 1 pass drills were watched by the whole team at UCF sometimes. Definitely intense, pressure filled blocking/getting off the block.

Just like with kickers at the end of practice, sometimes they would bet running gassers on the 1on1s.
Why did you leave GT?

Who you

Any dismissal of staff is going to feel like a divorce.

MVP NFL DE knows more about sacks and playing DL than most coaches can ever learn. He will see things and relay weaknesses to his DE's. Gonna have some bad asses learning. Throw Pat Swilling in there for some advice and I already want to commit as a DE.

This sounds more like wishful thinking than a reasoned opinion based on facts.

The flip side is: we had a DL coach under Roof who was reputed for being able to 'develop'. He was credited with getting Osi Umenyiora and Demarcus Ware NFL ready. But, he never managed to develop players like that here, and he did make some awful reaches in evaluating talent in recruiting. So, I guess what I'm saying is there could be questions no matter who you bring in.

Not 12 years in the NFL as a coach. He played 14 years. I believe he coached in the NFL for one year. He's definitely inexperienced as a coach, but inexperienced doesn't mean bad. Trevor Lawrence was an inexperienced QB midway through the season.

Oh come on. We pointed out in other threads that filling coaching positions with ex Tech players only makes sense if they are obviously qualified for the job in other ways. Marco was a great player but this feels like a stretch. The DL was our single biggest weakness under CPJ.

1) The DL was the best unit on team last year and finally put in a system to succeed.

2) He’s not coaching DL. He’s coaching the edge rushers/OLB where he was a monster at!

Yeah I'm not sure what we're expecting out of a position coach's role. Coleman is coaching his former position and probably knows what he's talking about as far as technique so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The rest is recruiting and I'm hoping it's a huge pickup on that front. We need talent especially on the edge if the past ten years and handful of DC's have told us anything. A good pass rush hides a lot of deficiencies elsewhere

I think it's great on the surface. What says you can succeed athletically and academically more than having former tech greats meeting you in your living room and proving you can do it.

I would suggest you have no clue.
