Sorry, but dumb post. Ryan threw some passes last night that I don't think any other college QB would have been able to complete including the long TD pass. If you think he's average you simply don't know anything about college football.

Wow I have been saying that he has been average for the past week and nobody says anything, but after his team beats us I start getting flak. The truth hurts sometimes and the truth is the guy isn't that great and our secondary sucks big time. These comments about him being the best QB ever to step on Grant Field in the past few years are just pathetic attempts to mask the the fact that our secondary is terrible.

Well, as far as I could tell, there were many passes he made that only Deion Sanders could have really done anything about. That long pass for a TD was pretty much undefendable and there were some other great passes and great catches where the WR was covered well but still got the ball.

I'll also say this, if he's an "average" QB, where are all the BCS QBs you would take before him? By that, I don't mean he's better than Tim Tebow, but that he's probably not worse than half the BCS QBs out there. I would certainly want Ryan before, say, Matt Stafford.

Guess I missed all your posts about him being average then. Who has played at Grant Field in the last 2 years who is better than Ryan?
 
Ryan had wide open recievers and time to throw all game. I'm not sure putting up big numbers in that situation makes you great, but it sure makes you better than average.
 
That 39 yard TD pass was a big-time throw. Call it luck --call it what you want --that was picture-perfect.
