After 4 years of only going to 2-3 games and virtually avoiding the AA, I hope to see some of you tomorrow at Tech. They are doing the traditional "All-American" thing at the half and Lucius has convinced me to let put some of my feelings aside and get back with the "family". I do miss GT and look forward to being at the stadium. Maybe I can see the new locker room and some of the new facilities.

I am meeting with DRAD next week to get to know him a little and share some things with him. I know I said some things that upset some of the GT fans about CG years ago but I just believed it in my heart and felt I would be being a hypocrite if I did not say them. So if I offended any of you, I appologize. We have a big task in front of us and a program that is in a critical state and I believe we need to unite efforts if at all possible to see the best happen for our kids and the program.

Coleman - I've never met you, but I hope that this off-season all Tech fans and alumni make a real effort to unite. There is no doubt that past players and other people affiliated with the program with a platform to speak have the loudest voice of all of us. I'd like nothing more than for all of us to be publicly behind the program, even though nearly all of us have a number of concerns (and probably will continue to have regardless of leadership).

Nice post.

Wow, I didn't know that was you. You were a great GT player and man from what i can tell.

That ebing said, I thought you weren't as wise with some thigns you said on air as you could or should have been. But, you were true to yourself which I appreciate and respect. And I think your opinions have proven to be true.

I am optimistic because I think lots of old and not-so-old money is ready to get the/a right coach in here. and our facilities and players suggest the time is right for us to really flourish.

GT is in a place culturally, demographically, ideologically that it has not been in since the 50s.

Thanks for coming back and being the leader you always have been.

thanks for stopping by.......and thanks, too, for coming 'home' and getting involved again. You're doing it the right way! From my past correspondence and chats with DR I know you will be impressed. Even if you don't ultimately agree with the course he plots, you'll definitely know the reasoning behind the plan.

We all want what's best for the program and we all have the same goals at the end of the day.

You have to apologize for being right?

Only in America, baby!

If Cindy Sheehan were "right," would I still think she should apologize?

Yeah, probably. Especially if she were pleading for bipartisanship.

That's how compromise and teamwork is, sometimes.

beej67,
commenting more directly on "America" than on Coleman Rudolph

Coleman, at the time I thought some of your comments were a little premature, but I didn't disagree with what you were saying.

Welcome back! I hope you have an excellent Saturday!

You laid it on the line for the jackets and you are entitled to your opinion right or wrong, in this case i think you were right. You made the jackets proud.

Well he was wrong about a few things as GT was able to beat Auburn with 11 players on the field nevermind the 13 that Coleman said would not be enough.:fingersx:

I don't believe a coach in his second season should be publicly abused in such a fashion by a former player. I know that he was in a role that required him to voice an opinion but he went way over the top.

That being said, I will be happy to see such a GT legend on Saturday and I'm glad that CR stopped by to post. I look forward to the positive impact he may have on our program.

He might have been wrong about the Auburn game, but he was certainly right about Chan Gailey. Welcome back. The way some on these boards have treated you is shameful.

Welcome Back CR.

You were ahead of the curve. I'm glad you are becoming involved again, and look forward to seeing you Saturday.

At least someone with a voice used it. Georgia Tech fans are so apathetic at times that I was glad that someone at least showed they care. Thank you for that.

I have a problem with this comment because many of us have stated our opinion without going public. I supported Gailey for 4 years, last year half way through that support stopped. This year just hoping for a change the day after the nad licker game. I admire CR for doing what he did, I didn't agree at the time though. CR is a helluva guy and GT needs him to be involved. LLTW we do care but most feel it's not the right thing to do publicly.

I meant no disrespect to you, RM. I have read your comments over the years on this board, as well as on others, and I know what your feelings are on the situation. While CR's comments may have been said at the wrong time, I just think that after 6 years, it is ok for people to speak publicly. I wish that more folks at GT with some pull would speak out more, but I know you have said that you don't wish to do that, and I respect your right to not do so.

Thanks for the post...

I don't know what you said that you need to apologize for but I do know that both you and JD could play the game pretty well. I can assure you that the typical fan who bothers to read this message appreciates the perspective and opinions of someone who has been there, done that. Please share your insight often.

Get your arse back to BDS-GF immediately!!!

You need to get in the press box w/ Wes and Noter. Noter always said it needs to be a Tech guy not him...
