235 now. Jesus, does he really need to be bulking up? He is going to be scary this year.

Maybe it was just because it is the spring game but on his long run down the left side he got caught and I felt like he got slower from last year. He didn't go into that "5th gear" we're used to seeing.

Looked fast to me. Dominique had a good angle on him in that run. He's pretty fast too.

Hasn't he had some hamstring trouble this spring? I think if he wanted to score he could have, his hamstring might have been in the back of his mind

I think he's bulking to get some lean mass quickly though some fat as well (he did have somewhat of a gut at the spring game). He'll probably have a lower body fat percentage by fall.

He'll lose the extra weight by the end of fall practice, I imagine.

JD is a man! He reminds me of the song Big Jon, Big Bad Jon. He has not lost a step. He is bigger, stronger and faster than last year.

People are gong to pay the price for trying to tackle Big Jon. Think Brandon Jacobs with speed and moves.

Go Jackets!

You have to gain weight (and some fat) to gain muscle...unless your brand new to bodybuilding. I tend to put on about 25+ pounds during the cold months then I will cut up in the Spring. He'll lose a ton of body fat at the end of summer and hold onto some more lean muscle...He'll be ready!!!

I wonder if he's dirty bulking or clean. Dirty is never healthy, and I've noticed makes you more bloated :ugh:

You may recall that Dwyer was almost 240 last year at some point and trimmed down to about 230. He definitely got slimmer as the year wore in my opinion.

The Diesel can tote a few more pounds--just makes tackle IMPACT harder to handle (pity the DB's)!

I feel badly for opposing team DB's who have to deal with a full steam ahead Dwyer once he's past the line. They must be prepared to do their best impression of "OLAY!"

Dywer will be ready, I believe he will most likely begin the season around 220 - 225 probably closer to 225 with a lot more lean muscke mass and ripped by september.

I think he will be bigger than 225... I'm saying around 228-230 with the added muscle.

:laugher::laugher:--You got it--just like the UGAG DB did in Athens--I got a golfing buddy (UGAG Fan) who keeps talking about how their tacklers weren't fast enough to GET OUTTA HIS WAY!:laugher::laugher::laugher:

The only person that I think would be more intimidating running full speed at you than Jon Dwyer would Micheal Johnson (mostly cause he looks like he'd eat me).
