i pledge right now that i win the big game drawing friday night i will help chan pack up, and take braine with him.
 
I don't see any reason to blame Braine, any CEO would have hired Gailey with his credentials. Georgia would have hired him instead of Richt if he had left before his pro season ended. He also had other offers, but turned them down for the same reason. I don't fault him for wanting to finish the year at his previous jobs.

Braine made the right decision given the data (bio and personal recomendations) regarding Gailey. It was a past football great from GT who made the initial recommendation to Braine. All kinds of recommendations came in regarding Gailey, saying he was a "can't miss" coach.

So, I can lay no blame on Braine.

Athletic director Dave Braine is TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY responsible for the worst coach hiring decision in the history of the free world.
And Dave Braine should be held totally accountable and be fired before Coach Gailey or the next hire will be just as bad.
 
Well,I'm certainly not a fan of Gailey 's coaching ability based on this year.BUT,he had as good of credentials as anyone on paper when we hired him.AL Groh at UVa was similar in bkgrd an he is apparently doing it.What did we miss?
 
I actually agree with beeware on one issue. Braine has got to go. Never been a fan of his. I don't think he is a bad man, but his personality and ego don't fit in at Tech. I know he rubs a lot of alumni the wrong way as well. I have met him several times and always is very arrogant and unfriendly.

Hopefully, we can get this turned atround.

Can not blame DB, at this time. He got O'L a great new contract, brought in P.H., kept Hall. I think immediately O'B has got to go. We need to pressure Clough about what we expect from this program on the field. Remember DB wanted Tom O'Brien.

only the biggest stupidest moron would have turned down such an opportunity. and by reading the quotes above, any reasonable person can figure out who that person would have been.
