I think we have a better chance of beating VT than BC

Like Brady Quinn last year, I don't think our blitz schemes will frighten Matt Ryan quite as much as a first year starter. I think we'll be able to put the pressure on Glennon, while Ryan will still be able to complete passes and avoid sacks.

Also, I believe BC is underrated and VT is way overrated.

Luckily we get both at home and BC has not faced us in a while.

Both will be great games and I am glad we are playing each of them. Each one of these teams is very good and all I ask is half a chance of victory based on team strengths. Then Grant Field will provide the margin.

These games shold tell us all we need to know about our team before playing The Game at the end of the regular season.

I dont think JT is sitting around worried about Matt Ryan. This is his best defense he has had at GT, hes chomping at the bit

If Ryan turns in a performance like Brady Quinn last year I guarantee we'll win.

I doubt Ryan has seen ANY defenses like the GT defense of '07. We'll be coming from EVERY direction. If BC can pick it up--we may be in trouble. If Ryan, can get us to show what we're doing and change the play at the line it may be a real dangerous game.

I think they'll be able to score 2 tds at least.

If R. Grant is back we'll score 4 tds at least.

If Word-Daniels is in there instead of P. Clark we'll keep them under 20. ND made most of there progress off #6.

I am most worried about Clemson. Their type of running game is much tougher for our defensive style.

VT will be a defensive battle that we will win. Their offense is just not good.

BC is setting up a pure passing offense...typically those one dimensional styles are feasted on by our defense.

Do not count out Miami....lots of athletes...and a lot on defense...and we are at their place (fwiw).

Clemson, VT, and UGA are my three biggest concerns.

UGA, by a fair margin, is playing the best football out of any of our opponents.

- Wake lost a good bit on defense from last year and it certainly looks like GT's defense will be a significant upgrade. And while Wake was held to very few rushing yards, they had a very high number of passing yards with a team that's not exactly known for it's passing.

- What's shocking about FSU is how far their defense has fallen, not just their offense. It goes back to last year when GT finished far ahead of FSU on defense. Besides, Clemson usually just has one home game they look like world-beaters and are mediocre the rest of the season.

- I don't know much about Miami, except that Nix is their OC, and that may be all I need to know.

- UVA's awful again. I would say stick a fork in their little streak.

- I'm sure VPI has some good talent on defense, but they sure didn't look like too dominating of an offense. I thought last year that we had a pretty good shot of beating them because of their OL and that still looks to be the case this year.

I could be wrong about everything, I'm sure. A team like Maryland or even UNC could come out of nowhere if our players. But I find GT prospects overall very good this year and the prediction of 10-2 could very well hold up.*

* Unfortunately, with a high probability of another loss to UGA being one of the two.
