A lot of people expressed doubt about the hire and the new offense blah blah blah. In 5 games we have a new record for longest rushing play, and DT almost broke Dez Whites record for receiving in a game. The defense also pitched it first home shut out since UVA in 2000. I couldn't be happier with the program right now.
If anyone doubted the hire I hope they have realized their mistake by now. I don't know about you kids but I am seriously considering actually going to the Ugag game this year b/c we may actually win. If we beat Clemson I will go ahead and make my reservations for Tampa.
This maybe a special year for GT and the brightest days are ahead of us!

Ugh.....:puke:

Who? Most people were pretty happy. I've been wanting Paul Johnson to be our coach since the 2006 season.

MAinly the media and the FOCers on these internet boards. Firing Chan may have been the best 4 million GT has ever spent.

And thats a damn good looking kid!

You're going to need to dig up some proof on that BS claim. Name ONE on THIS board that was not happy with CPJ as the new hire. In fact, I can only think of two on ANY board that weren't happy - and one of those has recanted (YukonWreck). You're spewing statements from out of the wrong hole.

I second this BS call out. I do not recall anyone post hire questioning the choice. He was my first choice. As a FOC he was the only candidate who was an obvious upgrade (I think Hatcher may be but it aint obvious).

There was a lot of doubt when he was hired(maybe no on this board, but it was definitely there). Both nationally and from our own fanbase. I feel like he has already said "F U" to the doubters....not verbally so much, but by the product he puts on the field.

Ouch.

That image. No. That heinous visage. How dare you!

You people are sick!

I think from the beginning that Coach Johnson has gone by the general rule that he is the one running the show and if you do not like it or him, you know where the door is at.

You jumped the shark with that subject line. I sure hope you're female and you're drunk. If you want to have his children, that offically makes you CPJ's b*tch.

you kids have no idea where he is going to take us to

Again, you assume to much by thinking the rest of us are not as happy with CPJ as you are. We all see the writing on the wall. We're all VERY excited about the future of GT football. We ALL look forward to the upcoming seasons with CPJ as our coach.

Stop trying to stir up crap by making false claims. I'm still waiting on your proof of all of us "doubters"

Dude, you live in Australia.

You're the bitch.

This is such a douche' baggery comment. Most of us on this board at least knew he was a great coach and have stated he would be a great choice for GT long before we even started a coaching search. Do a search of the archives. You are like the guy who walks into the room a day late and tells everyone in the know, "Did you hear the news?"

ArchiTECH can deal with that.

My screen name sums it all up!

I've followed CPJ's programs since he was the OC in '85 at Geo So. In '85 and again '86 they won the I-AA NC then CPJ went on to Hawaii as their OC where he did amazing things with their offense. When CPJ got the opportunity to come back to Geo So as HC he amassed a 62-10 record with two more NC's. Most everyone here knows his career as HC at Navy where he had limited athletic ability. I certainly don't want CPJ to father my children but I was EXTREMELY proud of CPJ to FINALLY get his shot at coaching a big time program like Tech. I am thankful to Tech for giving him that chance.

Going to ABAC I really had no 'dogs in the fight' in football. Living most of my life in Savannah I followed the re-birth of Geo So football in '82 under Erk. Now that CPJ landed at Tech I am now on board with my GT hats and shirts. Hope you guys don't mind? After all, I am a Georgia boy being born in Dallas (Paulding Co.) and moving to Savannah at 10yo.

FYI- Don't forget CPJ was a defensive coach when he started his career.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!!
